Using the interface conditions at the discontinuity surfaces between the media, algebraic systems of equations have been obtained. Solution of the systems offers the value of the magneto static field inside the shields. Structures of the system's matrices were analyzed and their sparsity patterns was visualized. 3D Finite element simulations of shields with different lengths were performed and comparisons with analytical results were done. In this paper, a new sampling algorithm is presented with the main purpose to reduce the acquisition time by using a limited number of samples. The adaptive algorithm proposed in this paper computes only a limited number of samples and then reconstructs the entire circuit response using the interpolation model. This method uses an adaptive step-size control and has the initial step and the error predefined. The algorithm evaluates the difference between two consecutive S parameters. The adaptive step-size algorithm assumes that, when the distance between the current S parameter value and the previous one decreases (below a threshold ∊), the exploration step-size may be increased up to a limit in order to keep the step-size to a moderate value. Otherwise, it might overlook major S parameter variations. The biggest challenge here is represented by the correlation between S parameter domain, frequency domain and scaling values. The energy consumption can be controlled in WSNs by more than one layer. The research presented in this work aims to reduce the energy consumption in the physical layer because most of the energy consumption occurs in this layer. Furthermore, such use will also enhance energy efficiency, bit error rate (BER), and throughput of the wireless sensor network. In this work, the WSNs nodes are divided into five clusters. Also, four different systems have been proposed according to the type of transceiver technique used in WSNs. The proposed four systems are analyzed, simulated and evaluated with the Additive White Gaussian Noises (AWGN) and Rayleigh flat fading channels. The results show that system 4 achieves the best energy efficiency performance compared with the other three systems at lower SNR up to −4dB. The proposed design is realized around Atmega 328 microcontroller embedded on Arduino Uno development board. For indoor environmental monitoring are used different sensors associated with various physical quantities. In our approach were used three types of sensors: a combined temperature-humidity sensor (AM2302/DHT 22) characterized by a high precision and having digital output and digital pressure sensor (BMP 180) together with a light depended resistor (LDR) for light intensity measurements. The system is extendable and in the proposed configuration is capable to control multiple loads, including pulse width modulation (PWM) based proportional control. The correct operation and the reliability of the monitoring and control system were evaluated through simulations and practical test with implemented module. In this paper, the antenna synthesis problem is approached in a different manner. Starting from a uniform linear antenna array radiation pattern, the maximum number of elements that can be removed, while maintaining a desired radiation pattern, is determined using genetic algorithms optimization. Parameters such as beamwidth and sidelobe levels are evaluated for different types of sparse array antennas and are compared with those obtained for a uniformly spaced antenna array. Increasing train speeds, and overcoming the human sensory capabilities of the driver, leads to the need to pass through the track circuit the information for train movement authority. With the advent of electric traction equipment appeared the interference with the track circuits and affecting his signals. In this paper it is proposed one new step in this way, a new track circuit with multiple transmitters that can improve the transmission for on-board information. They appear as magnitude decreases of the frequencies included in the said band and can be tracked and measured for the automatic real-time detection and classification of the events. It has been proven that an important percent of the changes happen within a narrow frequency band called a reactive band, providing thus the means to significantly improve the efficiency of the interpretation of such events by concentrating the decisive information. The algorithm presented in this paper automatically identifies a subject's specific reactive band by detecting the highest decrease in power. The decision is made after the recorded EEG signal is modeled with a Band-Limited Multiple Fourier Linear Combiner (BMFLC). The platform aims to stimulate inter and transdisciplinary thinking of students in a collaborative problem-based learning environment that allow better understanding of mechatronic systems and stimulate the learning interest. For this dedicated hardware and software components are used together with tailored applications, which allow students to understand the design concepts and methodologies used in the design process. Water industry is an energy intensive industry, so an analysis from this perspective has the potential of significant economies of energy. In this paper the analysis of energy efficiency is based on the analysis of technological procedures of wastewater treatment and on population forecast. Furthermore, there are suggested optimal solutions to use PV systems in small wastewater treatment plants.
