Of late researchers are exploring the possibility of using neck circumference as another indicator of obesity. Neck circumference (NC) is found in many studies to reflect central obesity. Our study however aims at comparing the correlation between Neck circumference, BMI and body fat percentage with the correlation between Waist Hip Ratio, BMI and body fat percentage in both lean and obese adults, to find out whether Neck circumference or waist hip ratio is a better indicator of obesity. Materials and Methods: This is an analytical observational preliminary study which is a part of a larger study. Sample study consists of 36 participants who are adults in the range of 18 to 60 years old of both genders, which comprises of 19 lean and 17 obese research participants. Anthropometric data of the research participants such as age, sex, weight, height, waist circumference, and hip circumference were measured. BMI was calculated using Adolphe Quetelet metric BMI formula. Body fat percentage was measured using DEXA (Dual X-ray Absorbtiometry) scan. Results: The overall group, NC showed strong positive correlation with BMI whereas WHR showed moderate correlation with BMI. There is also a moderate correlation between NC, WHR and BF%. In lean adults it is observed that the moderate correlation between neck circumference (NC) and BMI is similar to the correlation between WHR and BMI. Again in lean adults, the correlation between NC and BF% is a weak positive and the correlation between WHR and BF% is towards a strong positive side. It is observed that in obese adults the NC, WHR demonstrate moderate correlation with BMI, while a negative correlation exists between NC, WHR and BF%. Conclusion: According to the results of our study, it is obvious that neck circumference like WHR do correlate with BMI in all the three groups that is, in the overall, lean and obese research participants. And that neck circumference is as good an indicator as WHR in identifying adults with obesity.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123125875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These changes can affect the Quality of life (QOL) of the patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to measure the quality of life of patients undergoing haemodialysis at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH), The Gambia Method: A cross-sectional study design was used. The Kidney Disease Quality of Life –Short Form (KDQOL-SF) questionnaire was adapted and used to collect data from 44 participants undergoing haemodialysis at the time of data collection. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 20 and t-test and Analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to determine the difference in the quality of life, among the patients in relation to their demographic variables. Results: The finding showed that the majority of the patients were female 30(68.2%) and the mean age was 43.3 years ranging from 20- 80 years. Hypertension was the major cause of renal failure (n=27; 61.4%) of the patients. The patients had a poor quality of life with a mean score of 34. 8%. Independent t-test shows that the Physical Composite Score (PCS), Mental Composite Score (MCS), and Kidney Disease Composite Score (KDCS) were all higher in males compared to females, with PCS being significant at a p-value of 0.007 and KDCS at a P-value of 0.01. The MCS was significantly higher among the unmarried patients at a p-value of 0.022 as well as for diabetes and hypertension compared to unknown causes of Kidney Conclusion: The low PCS, MCS, and KDCS among the patients receiving haemodialysis treatment in EFSTH indicate poor quality of life. Therefore, more efforts need to be done to improve the quality of life for these patients.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122803635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four major classes of fruits are distinguished in angiosperms, viz. multiple fruits, aggregate fruits, schizocarps and simple fruits. Multiple fruits originate from inflorescences; the aggregate fruit comes from a single flower with apocarpous, pluricarpellate and pluripistillate gynoecium; schizocarps originate only from the ovary of a single flower, when ripe can separate into fragments called mericarps; and the simple fruits either are commonly originated from the ovary of a single unipistillate unicarpellate flower or syncarpic pluricarpellate flower. The diversity of seeds is also great among angiosperms, with bitegmic or unitegmic seeds, and alate, arillate, operculate, endothelial, pachychalazal, hairy or sarcotestal seeds. Reflections on fruit evolution are, in fact, very general, selecting a few examples that are restricted to families and genera. Fruit evolution is fundamentally based on changes of gynoecium types and differentiation of the pericarp. Among the hypotheses formulated in the literature, one predicts two main lines of evolution: in the first, there must have been a progressive reduction in the number of carpels that led to monocarpy, thus giving rise to the simple follicle; the second line must have led to a syncarpy, initially a loose adnation, which may have given rise to the capsule. The literature dealing with seed evolution in angiosperm taxa is very vast, but almost always not conclusive.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"315 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124463789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Adult females are aggressive when attacking their hosts in flight to lay their eggs. The abdomen of the females is modified, it is like a can opener with which they can separate the segments of the abdomen of their victims to insert an egg. The subfamily Stylogastrinae, including the genus Stylogaster, is somewhat different. The egg is shaped like a harpoon, capable of piercing the host's integument. Some species of Stylogaster are mutualistic with army ants. The most important economic and ecological impact caused by Conopidae is probably its harmful effect on pollinating populations of Hymenoptera, especially bumblebees. Conopidae therefore significantly regulates highly infected insect populations and provides substantial selective forces, reducing the colonies' ability to produce sex in late summer. This review aims to verify the biological characteristics of the Conopidae Family. In order to achieve the main objective, a qualitative method was used based on research and analysis of theoretical books, theses banks, university dissertations, national and international scientific articles, scientific journals, documents and digital platforms. The verification of the mini review of the Conopidae Family was carried out from 1961 to 2022.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129775114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To providing information about health care, sanitation to the rural people of India, we conducted an Awareness, Cleanliness and Practice (ACP) survey among the rural people of Delhi-NCR, India in April 2022. An analytic cross-sectional survey with questionnaires administered online to the rural population including Farmers, Janitors, Health Care Workers (HCW), House wives, Students in Delhi-NCR, India. All Participants were voluntarily participated and the percentage of ACP scores was categorized as good and poor. However, Independent predictors like Awareness of severe acute respiratory disorder were ascertained using a binary logistic regression model. The questionnaire was online administered among rural people of Delhi-NCR, India. There were 400 study participants with mean age 32.37±8.15 yrs, interquartile range 28–32 yrs and males 63.4% with graduate education. Most participants were farmers (30%), Janitors (20 %), Health Care Workers, and 20% of House wives and students. All results were expressed in mean ± standard deviation for Awareness, Cleanliness and Practice (ACP) and their scored were 55.18± 12.38, 63.15% ± 5.16 and 45.02% ± 14.2 respectively. Apart from this 376 participants (56.25%) had good awareness (GA) about the hygiene, 32.5% had good knowledge about the cleanliness (KC), and 70% participants following good practices (GP). Despite of this around 58 % did not agree that vaccines can protect them from COVID-19 which as originated from animals and 46 % thought it was a manmade virus and China is behind it. Although, in case of factor fear most of participants (86%) gives 9 out of 10 and 75% agreed that taking basic precautions like wash hand with soap, wear mask, social distancing and vaccines can protect them from this pandemic. However some the respondents (56%) blamed govt election policies and holy bath in kumbh in Haridwar is the main reason of spreading the COVID19 in 2021 in India. One in seven people had public stigma towards infected person and recovered patient from the virus.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"1988 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125481619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Excessive prolonging of QT interval could lead to a potential life threatening fatal abnormal rhytm called Torsades de Pointes. Many antipsychotics drugs were found to have a detrimental effect on the QT interval. The increase in the incidence of sudden cardiac death has been found to be related to the antipsychotic treatment. Many patients taking these drugs mostly psychiatric patients posed to be at a greater risk of developing sudden cardiac death or TdP. Gene is the part of the DNA that is responsible for the formation of the genotype and then a phenotype. Gene can only be expressed in case of formation of protein. The process of the gene expression is accomplished in the two steps; Transcription and translation. Transcription is the process of the formation of the mRNA. Transcription proceeds in the three steps. In initiation step the RNA polymerase moves on the unwind DNA strand until the promoter sequence is reached, next is the elongation step in the newly synthesized RNA strand elongates, the process terminates as the RNA polymerase realize the termination sequence. After the mRNA is formed it is released into the cytoplasm without any alterations in case of prokaryotes, but in case of eukaryotes post transcriptional modifications takes place which include capping, tailing and splicing. Translation is the process of the formation of protein from mRNA. Translation proceeds in the four steps in which the t RNA is charged, the initiation complex is formed with Met-tRNA at the P site start codon is recognized after binding of the ribosomal subunits to mRNA, in elongation step the peptide bond is formed and the polypeptide chain grows, stop codons enters at the A site and thus the process is terminated.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133439194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The RTP cooling system involves the interacting series process which are reactor model and heat exchanger model. The behaviour process is complex due to the nonlinearity, uncertainty, and time variation of the system. Due to the nonlinearity and interacting series process of system, the numerical algorithm for subspace state space system identification (N4SID) was proposed in the modelling of RTP cooling system. However, the model was converted to the transfer function form. The output response from the simulation model of RTP cooling subsystems were analysed by comparing the model with the real operational data. The responses of the model were within the respective range of a good model data. The residual analysis for each output was also calculated. The comparison and residual analysis were done to validate the model accuracy to determine the behaviour of the model. Overall, the model accuracy assessment shows that all models are still fit in the good model region (<10%) and has a good representation of a real plant.","PeriodicalId":122395,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Science and Technology Research Archive","volume":"750 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133970219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
