For the different load impedance regions on the Smith Chart, the corresponding high yield structure of matching networks is provided. Finally, with the high yield structure of matching network, a single-stage MESFET amplifier is designed. It converts one FDM standard supergroup of 60 channels, in the frequency band 312 to 552 kHz, into two PCM streams of 2048 kbit/s, each of which carries 30 speech channels. The PCM interface of the 60-channel TMUX receives two HDB3 2048 kbit/s PCM line inputs and converts them into two serial linear two's complement format. In addition, it monitors (or transmits) PCM alarm information and detects (or inserts) signalling A, B, C and D bits. Since the functions of the PCM interface are very complex, in order to reduce the complexity, enhance the stability and the reliability of the circuit, the authors use the LSI chip MH89790 as the main chip to realize the functions of the interface.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":119051,"journal":{"name":"China., 1991 International Conference on Circuits and Systems","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127778619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The circuit is constructed by using a removed-lateral-shell dielectric resonator (DR) to serve as a radiator and a resonator, with a BJT transistor as the active device. The high-Q DR is small in size and acts as a frequency selective element in the active radiator, and provides the high frequency stability and low phase noise (-90 dBc/Hz) characteristic. The performance of the DR radiator is discussed. This kind of active radiator can be used in a remote control system and a miniature Doppler radar system, particularly, in low microwave frequency band(<1 GHz).<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":119051,"journal":{"name":"China., 1991 International Conference on Circuits and Systems","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126532023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An improved neural network is applied to the recognition of speaker-dependent isolated Chinese words. The improved neural network is composed of several BP (back-propagation) networks. The isolated Chinese word sets are partitioned into a group of subsets based on a priori phonological knowledge. One of the BP networks identifies the subset to which the input word belongs; the others recognize the words in the subset. The improved neural network has the following advantages over a single BP network: training time is reduced; higher recognition accuracy is obtained with less training samples; new words can be easily added by adding new subsets.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":119051,"journal":{"name":"China., 1991 International Conference on Circuits and Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130149326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This design is used for the 60 channel transmultiplexer (TMUX) which implements the conversion between time division multiplex (TDM) signals and frequency division multiplex (FDM) signals. Based on a newly developed fast algorithm, two cascaded printed circuit boards are designed. They are composed of general high speed integrated circuits, with structures suitable for pipeline and parallel computation. A ROM direct control mode is adopted. Combined with the use of multiplexing techniques, the above measures promise the real-time implementation of 72-point DST-IV equipment with 125 mu s time duration at 9.216 MHz clock rate.<<ETX>>","PeriodicalId":119051,"journal":{"name":"China., 1991 International Conference on Circuits and Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133935342","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
