Indonesia's coal production in 2022 will reach 687 million tonnes to meet domestic and foreign (export) demand. Indonesia's coal production from year to year has an increasing trend. The existence of this upward trend can result in a decrease in the number of existing coal reserves. This study aims to predict the peak of coal production by estimating the age of the existing reserves. The data used is annual data from 1996 to 2021. The coal reserves used as a basis for consideration are 36,278.85 million tons. The methods used to forecast coal peak production and reserve age are the Hubbert, logistics, and Gomperzt models. The results obtained explain that the peak of coal production occurred in 2018 amounting to 0.539 billion tons with a coal reserve until 2081. For the logistic and Gomperzt models, the peak of coal production occurred in 2033 amounting to 1.345 billion tons and 0.7604 billion tons. Meanwhile, the reserve ages of the two models until 2080 and 2120.","PeriodicalId":118039,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi Mineral dan Batubara","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126055497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Acid mine drainage contains dissolved heavy metals that are harmful to the ecosystem. Sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) can be used in acid mine drainage bioremediation. This study aims to analyze pH, C-organic and BPS growing in acid water sediments of coal mines and several other ecosystems, analyze C/N ratio and pH of potential organic substrates, and recover AMD by enrichment of indigenous SRB and addition of organic substrates. The ecosystems observed were AMD sediment, paddy field mud, mangrove sediment, in situ sediment, ditch sediment, and rhizosphere soil. The organic materials tested included water hyacinth compost, a mixture of paddy field mud with wood sawdust, oil palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) compost, chicken manure, cow manure, dairy factory waste, and mixtures thereof. The results showed that SRB could be found in all studied ecosystems in the range of 5.8E+2 – 1.26E+5 MPN-unit/dry weight. The value of the C/N ratio with variations from 9.23-89.5 had a negative correlation with increasing pH. The application of organic matter with concentrations of 3%, 5%, 7%, and 10% helped SRB to raise the pH of AMD to more than 6 and reduced Fe by 88.18 – 97.27%. The highest SRB population was obtained in the mixed treatment of EFB and chicken manure with a population of 2.41E+12 MPN- unit/dry weight.","PeriodicalId":118039,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi Mineral dan Batubara","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128355548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was conducted in order to see the prospects for coal mining activities at PT. Cipta Kridatama, site PT. Kuansing Inti Makmur (PT KIM), Bungo Regency, Jambi province through an analysis of management strategies in the form of investment feasibility. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative in nature referring to quantitative studies, comparative studies (comparisons), and correlational studies. Data collection techniques are carried out by: field research, literature study and secondary data collection such as RKAB of the company. Based on field research, the data obtained included cropline roofs and M4 floor seam, coal strike and dip, overall highwall slope and outcrop area (section). The results of the investment feasibility study were obtained from coal resources based on a stripping ratio (SR) of 1:4.56. From the calculation results, the net present value (NPV) is greater than 0, which is 16,169,241,885, so it can be concluded that this project is considered economical and feasible to mine. The internal rate of return (IRR) is 19.807%, means that PT. Cipta Kridatama was able to return the invested capital with an increase in interest rates reaching 19.807%. Meanwhile, based on the payback period (PBP) calculation, it shows that the time needed for the investment capital to return is 5.6 years, this shows that the payback period is smaller than the project implementation period. The project ratio value (PI)>1 is 3.9537 which means the project is feasible to operate. The calculation has adjusted the discount rate, so the present value (PV) of coal mining PT. Cipta Kridatama of IDR 17,981,921,072.4 according to the discount level. Benefit cost ratio (BCR) value from PT. Cipta Kridatama is 24.66, which means the project is feasible to operate with the profits from the project are greater than the expenses so that the project is acceptable or feasible to continue.","PeriodicalId":118039,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi Mineral dan Batubara","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117046030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Calculation of rock fragmentation resulting from blasting using the R.L. Ash, C.J. Konya, and ICI-Explosive theories. The method for determining the size of rock fragmentation resulting from blasting and analysis of the fragmentation size distribution in blasting activities uses the Kuz-Ram method and Split Desktop 4.0 software. A good blasting geometry design from a technical and economical point of view enables achieving target production according to the design made by the company in producing an average fragmentation size of limestone <50 cm. Blasting geometry applied by PT. Semen Padang produces a hole volume of 275 m3 with a fragmentation of 53.46 cm. The results of the fragmentation design are based on the R.L. Ash theory and the Kuz-Ram method, with a volume of 300.67 m3 in each hole and a fragmentation size of 50.07 cm, while using C.J. Konya analysis resulted in a hole volume of 422.4 m3 with an average fragmentation of 44.17 cm, and ICI-Explosive method resulted in a hole volume of 285 m3 with an average fragmentation of 47.86 cm. Based on blasting geometry calculation, fragmentation analysis and economic calculations, it is shown that the blasting geometry suggestion using C.J. Konya theory is more optimal and feasible to apply because it results in a larger hole blasting volume, higher percentage of fragmentation of <50 cm which is compatible with the bucket capacity, as well as higher revenue and profit compared to the other two methods.","PeriodicalId":118039,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Teknologi Mineral dan Batubara","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133133658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
