This is hampering the role expected to be played by school libraries in the development of education in Nigeria. Purpose: The research explores the various challenges confronting school libraries and proffer workable solutions. Method: This paper uses literature review as a methodology for conducting research. The literature reviewed exposed the current state of school libraries, the challenges, prospects and the services that can help promote educational developments in school libraries. Result: The findings revealed the challenges limiting school libraries to include inadequate funding, lack of trained personnel, non-compliance to the provisions in the National Educational Policy and the absence of dedicated library time.  Possible solutions include library advocacy, ensuring the implementation of the National Educational Policy, enforcing the appointments of trained personnel, developing standard benchmark for establishing and management of school libraries and the introduction of dedicated library time. Conclusion: The paper recommended that LRCN and NLA should constantly advocate for quality service delivery in school libraries through ensuring strict compliance with the provisions in the National Policy of Education by forming accreditation committee to monitor all schools. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, this library has begun to focus on and intensively promote services through owned accounts on social media, including WA, Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram. Purpose: This study aims to determine the patterns by which promotion is carried out by the IPDN library through Instagram media. Method: A literature review method was implemented with a scientific interdisciplinary approach. Result: The results showed that the promotions carried out by the library on the marketing indicator included Product, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Customer Service. Meanwhile, the promotion mix dimension indicated the achievement of followers' invitation to support library activities and be interested in reading programs. IPDN library posts also developed followers' awarenesses, update patterns, solicitation captions, and interactions. Conclusion: Despite the various shortcomings, the IPDN Library still effectively carried out promotions through Instagram. Padahal, semenjak panemi covid 19, perpustakaan mulai berfokus dan intensif pada promosi layanan melalui media sosial yang dimiliki oleh perpustakaan IPDN baik itu WA, Facebook, Youtube, termasuk juga Instagram perpustakaan IPDN. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana promosi yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan IPDN melalui media instagram. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi literatur review dengan pendekatan interdispliner keilmuan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada indikator pemasaran perpustakaan, promosi yang dilakukan perpustakaan telah memuat Product, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Customer Service. This phenomenon can be seen in the Library Unit of IPDN (Institute Government of Home Affairs) as an information provider for students and Academic Community. Purpose: Therefore, this research aimed to describe the information seeking behavior of four generations in IGHA using the Ellis model. Method: It was conducted using a descriptive quantitative method. The population was from the IPDN academic community, totaling 1,776 people, while the sample consisted of 198. Primary and secondary data were obtained from questionnaires and literature, with the instrument developed based on Information Seeking Behavior Model by Ellis. Results: The results showed that all respondents were in an average index (%) of 75% -100%, but those from Gen Z had the highest index (%) for each indicator, namely starting (89%), chaining (90%), browsing (86%), differentiating (90%), monitoring (89%), and extracting (90%). The behavior was in the frequent category and comprised 136, 148, 130, 122, 138, and 142 people in the starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, and extracting groups, respectively. Conclusion: There were differences in information seeking behavior between these four generations. Gen Z is a phydigital and seek unlimited information. Generations X and Y are of working age, with little time to search for information according to the Ellis model. Perpustakaan harus bisa melayani seorang profesor hingga mahasiswa baru yang mungkin memiliki perilaku pencarian informasi yang berbeda. Perbedaan perilaku pencarian informasi dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam mengembangkan layanan Perpustakaan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana pemanfaatan Gafe di Perpustakaan IPDN. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan  15 pustakawan sebagai subjek penelitiannya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pustakawan IPDN merasakan adanya kemudahan dan efektifitas dalam proses pengelolaan dan pelayanan perpustakaan terutama dalam berkolaborasi membuat laporan, data statistik, slide promosi, survey, perencanaan kegiatan, dan mempermudah perpustakaan dalam melaksanakan rapat/koordinasi perpustakaan lintas kampus. Fitur Gafe yang paling intens digunakan adalah Gmail, Gdrive, gforms, dan google meet dimana hampir setiap hari digunakan oleh seluruh responden. Sementara Fitur yang tingkat penggunaanya sedang yakni gdoc, gsheet, dan gslide. Adapun fitur yang jarang digunakan pustakawan IPDN adalah gcalender, gclassroom dan gsite. Purpose: This research aimed to analyze the policy direction of the development of Islamic college library in Indonesia. Method: This was literature research from various sources, journals, books, documentation, and the internet. Furthermore, a descriptive analysis method was used in analyzing the data. Result: The results showed that the Islamic college library faced some problems. First, traditional roles should not be prioritized by providing physical facilities. Second, the Islamic college library should also be prepared for user behavior changes that have occurred with rapid technology advancements. Third, aspects of the college mission, namely developing and advancing research, should be improved. Fourth, the open access movement is also a challenge to consider. In addition to facing various management problems, the library should also prepare a policy direction and grand design for the development of Islamic colleges in the face of the future era. However, its popularity has not diminished, and it continues to draw crowds from tourists. Purpose: This research aimed to analyze the service quality (servqual) of physical products in the Samsung Library, Sunkyunkwan University. Method: A descriptive qualitative method was adopted using indicators of tangible servqual analysis. Results: The results showed that the dimension of the Library Building Facilities is very good because it combines cultural, academic, and modern civilization architecture with sophisticated technology. The library infrastructure was also adequate, starting from its multipurpose rooms, complete collections, and futuristic, modern, and comfortable reading tables and bookshelves, increasing the comfortability of users. The findings on the display indicators for library staff were very satisfying because they display attractive officers and are equipped with Libo robot facilities. Method: The method used is descriptive and qualitative, and 4 dimensions were used to evaluate effectiveness. These include organization, management, technology, and expertise. Result: The results showed that on the organizational dimension, only corporate structure indicators were satisfied, while policy indicators in the application of information systems were lacking. This was evidenced by the lack of submissions to the department. The management dimension was optimal, and can only be met by the system's ability to provide information. Furthermore, supporting facilities in the form of application databases were lacking due to continuous control by developers. In the expertise dimension, the employees’ ability to operate the system was fulfilled, but technological expertise was lacking because there were no IT experts hired by the agency. Conclusion: Despite several shortcomings, archival service through the Si Artis application was significantly effective. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penulis melakukan penilaian efektivitas melalui empat dimensi yaitu organisasi, manajemen, teknologi, dan keahlian. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada dimensi organisasi, hanya mampu memenuhi indikator struktur organisasi, sementara indikator kebijakan organisasi dalam penerapan sistem informasi masih kurang dibuktikan dengan minimnya penyerahan arsip kepada pihak dinas. Pada dimensi manajemen telah berjalan dengan baik. Pada dimesi teknologi hanya bisa terpenuhi indikator kemampuan sistem memberikan informasi, sementara indikator fasilitas perangkat penunjang berupa database aplikasi masih kurang, karena masih dikuasai oleh pengembang. Adapun pada dimensi keahlian terpenuhinya indikator kemampuan pegawai dalam pengoperasian sistem, tapi indikator keahlian teknologi masih kurang karena belum adanya tanaga ahli teknologi informasi yang dimiliki dinas. Method: The method used in this study is qualitative and used the concept of phenomenology by Alfred Schutz. The research object is new media of Digilib Praja. The data was collected by interviewing, observing, and documenting. Result: The research finding shows that Praja’s experience after utilizing Digilib Praja is they attained various benefits such as they feel easy to find the needed books, they feel easy to gather information, and they are familiar with electronic books. Moreover, the because-motives that are more likely to be Praja’s reasons in utilizing Digilib Praja are because it is easy to find the library collection books and they have a hard time to finish their assignments. Conclusion: This study suggests that there are five because-motives namely factor of the easiness to find library collections, factor of the difficulty to finish college assignments, factor of the difficulty to find references/ source of information, factor of the inadequate facilities in IPDN Regional Campus’ libraries, and factor of the difficulty find books in library shelves. There are three in-order-to motives, which are to support digital literacy, to obtain support for technological developments and to seek entertainment collections. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Work From Home (WFH) policy provided librarians with more free time to write scientific papers. Objective: This study aimed to determine the motivation of librarians on the Whatsapp Group \"Pustakawan se-Indonesia Jilid II\" in writing scientific papers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: The survey method was employed with a descriptive approach, using a sample of 61 from a total population of 256 persons within an 8-month study period in April-November 2020. This study was conducted when the Indonesian government was aggressively implementing the WFH and Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policies. Results: The results showed that the highest motivation for librarians in writing scientific papers during the COVID-19 pandemic was sharing ideas and achieving higher credit or career scores at 64% and 59%, respectively. Although financial rewards were the lowest-ranked motive at 13%, they were the biggest encouragement for contract librarians to write scientific papers because of increased income. Job demands were the highest motivation for librarians in the writing/publication field, while scientific writing workshops were the highest contributing factor, followed by support from institutions, leaders, colleagues, and family. Meanwhile, the lack of free time was the biggest barrier to writing at 47.5%. This situation actually opens up an opportunity to create literacy culture in line with the National Literacy Movement during the Covid-19 pandemic in Pesisir Selatan Regency. Objective: This study investigates the strategies used by the Public Library of Pesisir Selatan Regency in creating literacy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection was obtained from documentation, participatory observation, and interviews. Meanwhile, the data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. Results: The findings show that in order to create literacy in Pesisir Selatan Regency, there are several programs carried out to support non-digital literacy and digital literacy; Finding on strength dimension is the availability of library facilities and infrastructure; Findings on weakness dimension are lack of library collections and lack of skilled librarians; Findings on opportunity dimension are high potential of library partner community activities and high public visits during online learning policy (public library is used as a non-formal learning space); and Finding on threat dimension is the rapid development of technology.
