Pyridinium cation was used as a solution co-catalyst in this study. We obtained a conformal deposition of the Ag metal and PVPh liners in Si deep via holes. The measured Ag liner thickness increased from 0.18 μ mt o 1.44μm as the radius of the via hole was increased from 0.85 μ mt o 5μm. We also obtained a conformal deposition of the PVPh dielectric liner of about 830 nm in thickness in 10 μm deep via holes. The effect of different thicknesses, perforation diameter, and in-plane diffusion capabilities were analyzed along with freestanding microporous layers in order to improve gas and water transport. Although these structured GDLs are in an early stage of development, they provide baseline performance at lower current densities, and may already have potential for some specific applications. In addition, the design, manufacturing, and modeling processes with predictive capability can be improved due to their simplified nature. © 2011 The Electrochemical Society. The symmetric supercapacitor exhibits an energy density of 18.77 Wh kg −1 at a power density of 500 W kg −1 based on the total mass of active electrode material and excellent cycling stability and power capability. The cured film was fabricated as a dielectric layer for use in an organic thin film transistor, and offers a higher dielectric constant (4.13) than silicon dioxide (3.9). We investigated the effects of the curing conditions of a thiol-ene reaction on the TFT performance depending on air or N2. In the N2 conditions, hydroperoxide group (−OOH) free films were generated and they showed low leakage current density and hysteresis free behavior with higher mobility than those fabricated in air. © 2012 The Electrochemical Society.
