This article focuses on the distribution of temperature in human skin based on the results of the Monte Carlo method for a laser beam with a wavelength of . A mathematical model of the heat transfer process, based on the solution of the differential equations through the finite element method, was introduced. A mathematical model was developed to describes the processes of heat transfer, based on an analytical solution of a system of equations that describe the dynamics of electronic and atomic subsystems. Simulations of the laser beam diffusion and the distribution of temperature in the skin were performed for two types of beams. The results of this work can be used to make an assessment of the energy levels of pulse laser treatment with different durations, during which a damage of biological tissue is observed, as well as to create standards for the safe use of laser systems.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"203 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114575350","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The integration of sensors, microcontrollers and interfaces in a compact portable form allows for continuous monitoring of patients with cardiac diseases in order to respond quickly and adequately in critical situations. The article presents an electronic sensor system for synchronous registration of electrocardiography (ECG) and photoplethysmography (PPG) signals, which are subsequently analyzed through developed authoring software. Based on the comparative analysis of the determined heart rate intervals (RR / PP intervals) in terms of the accuracy parameter, it follows that both types of signals: ECG and PPG are suitable for examining the cardiac status of patients, with a relative error being smaller than 3%.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"99 21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128434170","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Appropriate application scenarios are considered and some of the problems related to the design and implementation of the system are discussed. The paper proposes and tests an innovative technical approach to the control of the thermoelectric cooling module used in the system. A new electronic unit is designed, developed and tested. It is a major functional block of the system and its main tasks are the temperature regulation, the control of the laser diode brightness and the provision of communication capabilities for remote monitoring and management. Our initial experiments show that the temperature control works very well during long-term operation. The protocol for remote monitoring and management and the desktop software program developed by us provide nice insights into the performance of our temperature management algorithms in the firmware of the system.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126903733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem of human activity recognition can be solved using a 1D convolutional neural network (CNN) trained with accelerometric data. The design of an appropriate CNN architecture for solving a particular problem is not an easy task and usually requires considerable specialized knowledge to setup the network hyperparameters based on experimental evaluation. This article proposes an automated approach for CNN architecture optimization that uses genetic algorithms. The suggested approach for evolution of the architecture of 1D CNN is evaluated on two data sets for accelerometer-based human activity recognition and the results show that the GA based CNN design generates CNN architectures with competitive performance compared to the usage of other manually designed CNN models.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126988495","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The primary task of a robotic manipulator is to move its end-effector from an initial position and orientation to a predefined goal position and orientation. This research considers motion planning with obstacle avoidance for planar redundant robots with constrained joint space. It analyses their kinematics and defines the different types of inverse kinematics solutions. On the basis of those types of solutions in the robot workspace are defined zones corresponding to each solution type. The research proposes a numerical approach for finding the specific points at which the robot can change its solution type. Those points are of interest when the robot has to execute a motion which passes through different zones of the workspace which are not intersecting. In such cases the robot is required to pass through some of those points in order to be able to change the solution type and to execute the desired motion. The approach applicability is validated through conducted experiments.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124110016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An adapted instrument was translated and revised multiple times before administering the final version of the questionnaire to students. The findings of the research have revealed that students have sufficient digital facilities and they are familiar with using technologies for their language learning. Furthermore, students have achieved an average level of digital skill, and they are most proficient in using social networking services in comparison with other applications. Concerning the frequency of using digital tools, students reported that they do not often utilize digital applications in their language learning. Among applications, students more often use social media than other tools. Besides, the study also explored that there are correlations among digital skill, the frequency of using technology and the ICT facilities and ICT familiarity. It is suggested that there is a necessity in curriculum or teaching methodology changes to create opportunities for students to enhance their digital skills in their language learning in particular and in education in general as they are the digital ‘natives’ of the community.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128035231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A novel graph-based approach for the representation of software samples over the depiction of the structural evolution over time, the so-called Temporal Graphs, is discussed, and a method for measuring graph similarity among specific Regions of such graphs is proposed, the so-called Regional Matching. The partitioning of the Temporal Graphs that depicts their structural evolution over time is defined by specific time-slots, while the quantitative characteristics that depict the commonalities appeared over the weights of the vertices are measured by a similarity metric in order to conduct the malware detection and classification procedures. Finally, we evaluate the detection and classification ability of our proposed graph-based framework performing an experimental study over the achieved results utilizing a set of known malicious samples that are indexed into malware families.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128837630","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The representation of the cardiac series in time domain is performed using an inverse wavelet transform. The transform is implemented with different Daubechies wavelet bases and is compared with the implementation of the algorithm with the classical Fourier transform. The created time sequences are analyzed in terms of the wavelet bases (Db4, Db6, Db8, Db12, Db20) used and the required CPU time for implementation of the program procedure. The obtained results show higher IT efficiency of the presented algorithm, realized with Daubechies transform.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"83 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123120728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach is not the best for many learners, especially for those with various difficulties or interests. Strategies for personalization and adaptation can increase the tutoring quality and ensure efficient learning for groups of learners with different needs, goals, or interests. Intelligent technologies can enable the personalization of the learning process. However, no one system can contain all the knowledge needed for all learners, so interoperability between e-learning systems is of greater importance. Standards are needed for ensuring interoperability, but they are not sufficient. This paper first analyzes and classifies sources for learning on the Internet. The findings help to develop a knowledge model needed for a personalized recommendation of web-based sources, complementary to the learning content that a well-organized intelligent educational system can propose to learners. Having in mind specifics of the ontologies needed for modeling the learning domain, a model of the ontological repository for storing ontologies that can be useful for building intelligent educational systems is suggested. We also discussed mapping problems between ontologies and modeling e-learning standards.","PeriodicalId":115575,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126040872","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
