Esse problema se mostra ainda mais relevante se consideramos o crescente numero de idosos que em busca de sua independencia e autonomia decidem morar sozinhos. E crucial que o idoso tenha rapido acesso ao atendimento medico, parte importante para a sua rapida recupera¸cao. A demora no atendimento medico esta ligado ao aumento de taxas de mortalidade e gravidade em um evento de queda. Pensando nisso, foi desenvolvido o SafeWatch, um sistema de detec¸cao de quedas embarcado em relogios inteligentes (em ingles, Smartwatch). O sistema proposto ira monitorar o idoso atraves de sensores presentes no smartwatch, e ao detectar uma queda, alem de vibrar no pulso do usuario, ira informar para uma lista de contatos de emergencia do usuario a sua localiza¸cao e a possibilidade do idoso estar em uma situa¸cao de perigo. Experimentos foram realizados com oito individuos de biotipos distintos, onde cada um deles deveria simular uma queda em sentidos distintos. There are problems in which dealing with the risks of the environment to obtain a reliable result is more important than maximizing the expected average return. MDPs that deal with this type of problem are called risk-sensitive Markov decision processes (RSMDP). Barbosa","doi":"10.5753/SBSI.2017.6043","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5753/SBSI.2017.6043","url":null,"abstract":"Spreadsheet applications have become one of the most popular end-user programming environments with innumerous built-in facilities, including arithmetic, financial and statistical operations. Not surprisingly, spreadsheet applications play significant role in decision-making processes in organizations, thus making spreadsheet errors serious threats. Reports from field audits show that spreadsheet errors may cause companies to lose millions of dollars annually. One effective and simple way of helping users to avoid introducing mistakes in their spreadsheets is data validation. Indeed, most spreadsheet applications provide a wide range of built-in functions to restrict the type of the input data or the range of valid values entered into a cell. However, in most of them, the underlying design decisions governing how data input should be entered in a spreadsheet are not explicitly visible to its users. Hiding data validation rules from users may hinder the comprehensibility and the usability of a spreadsheet, thus increasing the risks of entering incorrect data input. To assist end-user programmers in explicitly expressing validation rules in spreadsheets, we propose the SpreadSheet Validation Language (SSVL). We conducted a user study to assess the effectiveness of SSVL. The results show that users using SSVL are faster and more productive in tasks involving the comprehension of data validation rules. Despite the effort to increase the level of automation of such tasks, it has been observed that the human presence is still necessary to manage, feed and keep them. This research presents a Web system, named InventoryIoT, that automates the inventory control for ecient management. Based on the concept of the Internet of Things, we propose attaching RFID tags to assets, giving them the status of Smart Objects (OI). For this purpose, this work considers a middleware that allows the communication among OIs and the Web system, which operates as a social network. The result is a platform able to perform the intelligent management and monitoring of the movement of goods within a institution in an automatic way, reducing the human labor time and keeping the information always updated. To this end, a data mining technique known as sentiment analysis was used with the help of the ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) methodology and the Naive Bayes probabilistic learning algorithm. To contribute to the student’s formation process of the Software Project Management, this research presents the development and validation of an electronic board serious game, named SCRUMI, to the teaching of concepts inherent to the SCRUM framework. The evaluation of the proposed game was carried out according to some criteria such as usability, quality of the issues and presentation of the activities, applicability and motivation. These solutions, when correctly applied, are supposed to enhance modular and flexible structures in software. The aim of this work is to study the occurrences of God Class and Long Method bad smells in software systems developed with design patterns. To achieve this aim, we carried out a study with five Java project, in order to: (i) investigate if the use of GOF design patterns avoid the occurrences of the bad smells God Class and Long Method, (ii) identify co-occurrences of the GOF design patterns with these bad smells, and (iii) identify the main situations that lead software systems to present these co-occurrences. The results obtained suggest that Composite and Factory Method have a low co-occurrence with these bad smells, and Template Method and Observer have a high co-occurrence with God Class and Long Method, respectively. We selected three critical processes to assess using the Cobit Process Assessment Model – PAM – supported by interviews and evidences of executed practices. Em frente as dificuldades de se medir a maturidade das empresas um Indice de Transformacao Organizacional (ITO) foi criado para auxiliar na avaliacao das organizacoes. Alem deste Indice, a logica Fuzzy e utilizada para proporcionar flexibilidade na analise, devido aos pontos incertos da avaliacao. Sim-OrgMaturity-Tool possibilita alterar diversas vezes o valor das maturidades de cada atributo a fim de analisar o comportamento do ITO ao longo das mudancas. O usu´ario realiza uma consulta composta de termos, e o motor de busca ´e respons´avel por encontrar as melhores respostas `aquela consulta. Frequentemente, existem informa¸c˜oes subjetivas que o usu´ario n˜ao consegue transmitir em sua consulta, mas que ele espera que o motor de busca seja capaz de inferir. Isso leva a resultados que s˜ao relacionados `a sua consulta, mas n˜ao aos seus interesses. Uma forma de mitigar esse problema foi a introdu¸c˜ao da Web Semˆantica, que visa a permitir que os dados dispon´iveis na Web tenham um sentido, ou seja, uma semˆantica. Diversas abordagens de busca na Web Semˆantica tˆem sido propostas e implementadas nos ´ultimos anos, bem como abordagens para classifica¸c˜ao (ranking) de resultados. Esta revis˜ao sistem´atica da literatura tem por objetivo identificar as tendˆencias na ´area de ranking de relacionamentos na Web Semˆantica. De um total de 1.194 artigos inicialmente retornados em nossa pesquisa, foram selecionados e analisados 10 estudos prim´arios nesse tipo de ranking, dando-se especial aten¸c˜ao `as caracter´isticas das t´ecnicas adotadas e aos experimentos realizados.
