Being characterized by low energy efficiencies and high investment costs, the main interest is to exploit these equipments as productive as possible. A major problem is the fact that catalog data for photovoltaic devices is valid only for Standard Test Conditions, while the main external factors manifest a significant influence on these devices' characteristics of operation. This paper provides an accurate study regarding the behavior and performance in variable temperature and solar irradiance conditions for 128 PV modules. These controllers are difficult to use in embedded computers that have limited performances due to technologic resources. The originality of the proposed method is to use an observer written under the descriptor form for approximating the fuzzy matrix inversion. Thanks to such an observer, the advanced controller can be approximated in both steady and transient phases. Consequently, an Estimation-based Control Law for Approximating Takagi-Sugeno-based (ECLATS) controller is developed using Lyapunov stability analysis and Linear Matrix Inequalities formulation. This ECLATS controller can provide similar performances than the advanced fuzzy ones, but without any matrix inversion. There are plenty of Cloud storage providers offering multiple options so, it is crucial to select the best solution in terms of cost and quality of service that meet customers requirements. Due to its multi-objective nature, the process of optimal service selection becomes a difficult problem. In this paper, we study the multi-objective optimization problem for storage service selection. We start from a real world case scenario and build our mathematical model for the optimization problem. The proposed approach is to modify the velocity formula of the general PSO systems in order for improving the searching efficiency and actual execution time. Three PID control parameters, i.e., the proportional gain Kp, integral gain K; and derivative gain Kd are required to form a parameter vector which is considered as a particle of PSO. To derive the optimal PID parameters for the Ar.Drone, the modified update method is employed to move the positions of all particles in the population. In the meanwhile, multi-objective functions defined for PID controller optimization problems are minimized. Sebestyen","doi":"10.1109/AQTR.2016.7501282","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/AQTR.2016.7501282","url":null,"abstract":"We propose a probabilistic symmetric encryption method that heavily relies on true-random numbers, both to XOR the plaintext with a random block of at least equal length (just like OTP) and to disperse resulting data at bit-level into even more randomness. Our method has several highly needed security properties. It has resistance against both CPA2 and CCA2 attacks, and it has provable ideal statistical properties - assuming that the attacker cannot break in the same time two different 256 bit hash functions and a good randomness source is available. Relying on multiple encryption layers, we argue that our method remains safe even if the involved second layer block cipher (in our implementation example AES256) and/or at most one of the implied hash functions is mathematically broken. The proposed method generates considerable ciphertext expansion and the bit-level operations take significantly more time compared with Intel hardware accelerated AES. Considering characteristic aspects of the application type, a two-stage approach was chosen to find an appropriate solution. First, a Delay Time Petri Nets (DTPN) model was developed to describe all touristic routes and their associated activities in the considered area. Then, using the elaborated model and following a visit planning, Genetic Algorithms were utilized to find convenient schedules for transport activities. For simulation purposes, scenarios inspired from real situations were chosen. The laboratory setup is inspired from several real life applications of weight estimation in moving cranes, e.g. loading containers in a shipyard, iron scrapping in steel industry, etc. The weight needs to be estimated within a specified time interval and within a tolerance interval for accuracy. Acute problems are triggered by direct (land use change) or indirect (climate change, legislation) human interventions in the natural systems within which we live. Water resources management requires the processing of a huge amount of information with different levels of accessibility and availability and in various formats. Often, the data acquisition needs to be acquired, transmitted and accessed in real time. Equally important is to have access to historical data for calibration and validation of the models. Effective watershed management requires information-rich communication among central and local authorities, private industry, citizens, and academia. Effective watershed planning, regulation and management also require timely conveyance of information to agency staff, decision makers, and the public. Customized Decision Support Systems (DSS) are required for this purpose, to provide wide access to workflows to query, visualization, and compare vital information. DSS can use basically the same information for strategic or emergency planning if the access to the data, simulations, and workflow operation can be done in real-time. It is the duty of public and private sectors to determine how to effectively support the decision-making process without neglecting the appropriate amount of evaluation and the inclusion of stakeholders in the process. The paper presents a concept for interjurisdictional collaboration in water resources management, using a DSS platform that integrates the data and information needed to support short- and long-term watershed actions.
