Mathematical modelling and simulation of activated sludge systems have gained increasing attention in control engineering within the last years. The most widely used models to describe the biochemical processes that take place in a WWTP are the Activated Sludge Models 1-3. Due to their increased complexity, these models are often unsuited for control systems design. The aim of this paper is to develop reduced order models which can adequately describe the biochemical processes for the purpose of on-line control design. The models developed contain a minimum number of variables and parameters that allow for model identification and validation based on available on-line measurements.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116402066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taking into account the current situation, in which, especially due to the growing number of chronic patients, both hospitals and primary care units have to cope with a permanently increasing number of appointments, one of the main goals of the proposed method is to balance the workload of the medical staff. A fuzzy based approach was chosen and many factors such as epidemiological context, current medical staff workload, individual preferences, holiday's periods and seasonal variations of patients' number were considered in the planning process. These factors were divided in groups and the fuzzy inference rules were applied in two stages. First, different loads of the appointment schedule for context dependent, predefined time intervals were determined. In the second stage, considering the characteristic features of the chronic disease and the current individual evolutions, the patients were distributed in the previous established time frames. Fuzzy Petri Nets were used to model the application. The proposed method is flexible, offering the opportunity to use some specific features of a corresponding monitoring of chronic patients in order to improve and specially to balance the workload of the medical staff.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122141204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is supposed that only one gate may be fault. There are reserved Configurable Logic Blocks (CLBs) based on Look Up Tables (LUTs) that may mask a gate fault being included into the circuit through Multiplexer (MUX). The suggested approach to patching circuit design in contrast with currently in use allows keeping performance of a fault free circuit. It is suggested to include MUXs in those internal poles of circuit C that may have hard detectable faults. Experimental results showed that masking LUT based circuits are as a rule, rather simple.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129948608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper describes an automated system that performs dynamic analysis by running new samples in a controlled environment and analyzing the operations they perform on the filesystem. These operations are used to train a Support Vector Machine classifier that can proactively detect new malware samples. The experimental evaluation showed that our automated system provides good results in terms of classification quality and in terms of performance. Being able to automatically decide if a file is clean or infected is very important in the antivirus industry, because based on this the file can be automatically blacklisted.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126887824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modularity can favor incremental system development allowing the modeler to focus on separate parts with functional and temporal behaviors linked by interfaces exposed to the rest of the model. The method requires from the user solely a well-chosen sampling period of the process and, in case of process with time delay, the amount of delayed samples. The main design parameter, the prediction horizon, is related to the open loop dynamics of the system and set to a relatively large value for a robust control performance. Process model is obtained apriori from step response in presence of 20% noise and later updated during closed loop simulations. The results indicate in both simulation and experimental study that the methodology is suitable for some classes of chemical processes or other processes with similar dynamic profiles.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"333 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134544065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper has theoretical and practical contributions on the operation in a complex, interconnected power system through secondary voltage-reactive power (U-Q) control requirements for renewable power plants. These conditions are gathered in a set of regulations proposed by the National Transport System Operator (TSO) and were implemented successfully on subsystems that include distributed energy resources. Several tests were done on wind power plants connected to the grid. The U-Q control regulations were based on a systemic approach of the substations where wind or photovoltaic are connected to the national power grid.","PeriodicalId":110627,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124845242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
