However for many, especially for new entrants into research, choosing a research topic or problem and developing researchable questions from it are still difficult tasks. This article focuses on this initial significant stage of research with respect to selection of a broad area and narrowing down it into sub sections. Role of research problems, nature of these problems, when and how problems should be formulated are also discussed. This article addresses own interest of the researcher, information needs of the agency, feasibility of investigating a research question and its significance in social work field as criteria for choosing a problem. Importance of understanding the concepts, dimensions and translating the same into measurable indicators or variables are also explained. It stresses that formulating potential research problems into meaningful terms commands clear and careful thought.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130585584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a process of transformation that involves the whole society-its economic, social, political and physical structure-as well as value system and way of life of people. In this affair rural development keeps an important position because majority of Indian population reside in rural areas. Rural development is a process which leads to a continuous rise in the capacity of rural people to control their environment accompanied by a wider distribution of benefits resulting from such control. P.R Bose says, ” Rural development thus means development of rural areas in such a way that social, economic and technological components of rural life change in a desired direction and within framework of national goals and objectives without prejudice to the development of the urban area of the country.” Right from the inception of the five year plans the tribal development has been a subject of only avoidance and it has been undermined in various development schemes. It has been left to a mere subsistence level. The foremost policies which were adopted by the British rulers were to isolate the tribals from the general masses and separate the tribal areas from the purview of normal administrations. Now this paper will analyze the various dimensions of rural and tribal welfare in India premised on the case study of Waje village in Raighad district of Maharashtra.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132310964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this research, the disclosure quality has been calculated using Jensen's method. Also, a survey was carried out in 29 companies, from the list of accepted companies at the Tehran stock exchange, which offered the information for a 5-year period from 2005 to the end of 2010. The main hypothesis of this research is that there is a significant relationship between the disclosure quality and stock price in the Tehran stock exchange, and regression has been used for testing this hypothesis. After general and annual testing of the data, the test error was more than 5%, which means that the test was not significant at any level; so, we can say with confidence that no significant relationship between the variables was found.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126426735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Achieving this goal calls for effective planning and implementation of programmes for the development of SCs. The special component plan strategy is essentially a means of earmarking benefits to the SCs in physical and financial terms in each sector of the state plan/central plan. In this article, an attempt has been made to analyse the agricultural dimensions of SC development with special reference to the special component plan approach under Mysore district. Agricultural development programmes were initiated for improving the socioeconomic status of the SCs in society. The impact of the special component plan on the SCs with reference to agricultural development programmes in Mysore district is seen here. This paper has concluded that income-generating programmes initiated under the special component plan for the economic development of the SCs are not making a desired level of impact on their socioeconomic status at the policy and implementation levels. There is an urgent need to enhance budgetary allocation with effective monitoring and evolution of physical and financial targets of SCP programmes, so that the intended benefits could reach poor SC families (Maurya, 2001).","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125703739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
