Human Rights have been regarded as one of the essential requirement in today's era. However, how do youths perceive it? The study attempts to figure this out. Compiling the views of students, the analysis can be seen. The study reveals that Human Rights is not properly understood by young peoples in Nepal. Youths of Nepal seems to be concerned only about their subject matter, that their teachers and families guide them. They don't regard the knowledge of Human Rights as the thing that they must know. During the study, it was found that youths don't know what UDHR is all about. They even regarded a criminal case Human Rights violation issue. The study also potrays the necessity of Human Rights education from very grass root level in order to build a peaceful society and country.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129618720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It permeates in the name of race, sex, region, color, religion, class, caste, age; even physical and mental challenges in abilities. Around the world, societies grapple with the challenges posed by the complexity of exclusion exhibiting social, economic, political, cultural, legal, psychological nature. Exclusion as a process, as a ‗product‘ and as a perspective continues to challenge the pace, direction, nature, opportunities and outcomes of development. Exclusion finds a forceful agency in Patriarchy. Patriarchy, like exclusion, is multi-dimensional, multi-contextual, and dynamic with multi-cultural manifestations across social institutions namely family, religion, education, economy, politics and media. Patriarchy at its root refers to ‘rule by father or man’; signifying the multi-faceted nature of male power; a system of male dominance over women, children and even other men of weaker status socially, economically or politically. Patriarchy lends itself expediently to the many forces of exclusion in society thereby proliferate potent perils to sustainable development and social justice. Women continue to be the most excluded, discriminated and marginalized segment of the society; more so Indian rural women. Patriarchy limits women‘s equal access and control over freedom, livelihood, land, labor, and even dictates their aspirations posing serious threat to women empowerment, gender equality and development. The empirical study involves rural women in dairy cooperatives of Mysore district in India. Comprehensive pre-tested questionnaire was used for primary data collection along with field observations. The paper examines patriarchy as an agency of social exclusion through the study of women‘s participation, expression and decision-making at multi-levels namely family, cooperatives and village.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120892903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are facing different kinds of problems like exclusion, discrimination and imbalance in terms of access to capital assets, employment, education, political participation and exclusion other spheres. Hence, the framers of the constitution and other development thinkers have turned to practices of reservation or affirmative action for these discriminated sub-groups in addition to general pro-poor policies. Among these reservations in Employment has become crucial one and proved a catalyst of affirmative instruments. However,. As per data, there were still 54701 jobs of SCs and STs unfilled due to numerous reasons. According to the Sachar Committee Report (2006), SC/STs are heavily under-represented in university employment. While 5.4 percent of the SCs and the STs were found in teaching posts, for non-teaching, their combined strength was 17 percent of the total staff. Hence, it clearly reveals that SCs and ST's are still under represented in public sector jobs especially in higher educational institutions and further thousands of jobs reserved for these communities still pending unfilled","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126397736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is also a government tier that most accessible to the people. Because there are usually no tangible developmental projects embarked upon by the local governments, the people are hardly involved in any developmental activities. This study was therefore carried out to examine the performance of Ovia South – West Local council and identify major impediment of local government in rural development. The survey method was adopted for the study using primary and secondary sources of data collection. Five hundred questionnaires were distributed and 450 were retrieved for final analyses. Three hypotheses were formulated and tested, using the simple percentage for data analyses. The finds reveal that the performance of local government is very poor in rural development efforts. The study also reveals that infrastructures are not adequately provided at the grassroot and that the calibre of workers at the grassroot government are not doing well enough to enhance rural development. The paper amongst others, recommended that local government should create consciousness and awareness for the rural dwellers to participate in development activities of their local government, and that the local government workers should be trained and re-trained regularly to be more effective and efficient in serving the people, that projects being executed should be beneficial to the people and that project should be awarded to contractors on merit.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126408421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With reign of Changiz and it's successors, the high number of Turk tribes permeate in the Mongol military and gradually cause to prevail the majority language(Turkish) on minority (Mongol), and gradually influence on culture and tongue of conquered territories. One of significant example of these effects is Azerbaijan, which the invasion of Turk and Mongol people and their domination on government and ministries lead to gradually replace the ancient Azerbaijani language by invader's counterpart. In this paper we try to consider the piecemeal entrance of Mongol vocabulary and piecemeal replacement of Turkish vocabulary with it's counterpart in Iran and Azerbaijan.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125454677","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
