It signifies a natural and necessary urge in human beings to know themselves and the world in which they live and move and have their being. Western philosophy remained more or less true to the etymological meaning of philosophy in being essentially an intellectual quest for truth. Philosophy is intensely spiritual and has always emphasized the need for practical realization of Truth. Philosophy is a comprehensive system of ideas about human nature and the nature of the reality we live in. It is a guide for living, because the issues it addresses are basic and pervasive, determining the course we take in life and how we treat other people. Hence we can say that all the aspects of human life are influenced and governed by the philosophical consideration. As a field of study philosophy is one of the oldest disciplines. It is considered as a mother of all the sciences. In fact it is at the root of all knowledge. Education has also drawn its material from different philosophical bases. Education, like philosophy is also closely related to human life. Therefore, being an important life activity education is also greatly influenced by philosophy.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115671669","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Degree of this impact may differ during inwardness and openness, according to IMF and IBRD. The present study attempts to analyse the impact of monetary and fiscal policy actions (money supply, Interest Rates, Gross Fiscal Deficit) on the external sector through BOP of India during inwardness and openness using appropriate statistical methods like OLS and other descriptive statistics. This study finds that the impact of expansionary policy actions on the external sector during inwardness was limited and stable because the policy actions are mainly based on economic planning. But the same policy actions and its influence on the external sector during openness was highly volatile due to the pressure of global economic factors in the policy making process. For economic stabilisation and external sector sustainability, this study strongly recommends Milton Friedman's monetary rule and IMFs macroeconomic stabilisation measures.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"26 17","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120837857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The market of Bangladesh is a bit far from competitive environment. However, National Parliament of Bangladesh passed the desired competition law on July 2012 to prevent such malpractices. A suitable implementation framework of competition law and a strong and independent competition commission can make an antitrust regime more effective and dynamic in a practical sense. Along with other challenges the proper coordination with other concerned policies and departments is also inevitable and obligatory for the sustainable implication of the law. The competition act of Bangladesh mandates the establishment of Bangladesh Competition Commission (BCC) but it is not established yet in the country. A significant number of economies have started their competition regime and made success stories in terms of the implementation and inducing consumer welfare. Therefore, the lesson from such an effective competition regime can be guidelines for sound implementation of the antitrust law of Bangladesh. The Government itself, consumer associations, and member of business communities should step forward to create a competition culture in Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126657789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a beautiful and exotic country with colorful traditions and centuries of history. It still has unique beauty and charm. However, India has many more places to visit that foreign tourists may not know about. Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is a popular travel destination for Indians and foreigners. The beaches of Goa are a tropical paradise but are also relatively unknown to the rest of the world. India needs to market itself to the world as a unique country with much to offer the visiting tourist. The India travel and tourism industry ranked 5th in the long-term (10-year) growth and is expected to be the second largest employer in the world by 2019. The 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi significantly have improved tourism in India. Tourism can significantly contribute to environmental protection, conservation and renewal of biological variety and supportable use of natural resources. Because of their attraction, fresh sites and natural areas are identified as valuable and the need to keep the attraction alive can lead to creation of national parks and wildlife parks.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114897481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unemployment breeds poverty, poverty is one of the most critical issues in the country. National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) of India, most progressive legislations enacted since independence guarantying rural employment and right to work as an enforceable legal entitlement in a rural milieu marked by stark inequalities between men and women, created opportunities for gainful socio-economic inclusion of women. In this context, an attempt is made in the present study to analyse the performance of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme (MGNREGS) in India and the role of MGNREGS in poverty alleviation in India. The present paper is based on secondary data. The government has come up with different schemes to eradicate poverty. During the 11th Five Year Plan, United Progressive Alliance Government introduced a number of poverty alleviation programmes and also employment generation programmes. National Employment Guarantee Scheme of 2005 is such kind of a scheme. The trend of the issuance of job cards to the house hold members has been increased every year. It is observed that the government has not provided employment corresponding to the demand employment. We must understand that NREGA cannot be a long-term solution to the unemployment problem of rural India. A comprehensive and a more sustainable solution that creates large-scale self-employment opportunities in the secondary and tertiary sectors in the rural areas, stimulates demand and last but not the least, increases rural productivity still need to be found.","PeriodicalId":110506,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social and Economic Research","volume":"204 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116394976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
