Traditionally it has been used in short range application due to its unambiguous range. The enhanced range resolution is a factor for FMCW radars compared with other types of radars. There are theoretical restrictions in the range resolution. This paper deals with reconstruction of beat signal in the discontinuous region of its samples. Furthermore, the signal processing methods like FFT calculations that are used for FMCW radar signals and the possible improvement techniques for these methods are discussed. This technique overcomes the discontinuities in the turnaround region of radar altimeter beat signal for improved FFT measurement. To obtain a high SNR image without lengthy repeated scans, post processing of data such as denoising plays a critical role. Bilateral and Nonlocal means (NLm) filtering are commonly used procedures for medical image denoising. In this paper we propose a new thresholding scheme to wavelet and contour let based denoising by introducing a scaling factor to universal threshold. Also we propose the aforementioned novel contour let thresholding scheme as a preprocessing step on bilateral filtering and NLm denoising. In different to conventional two stage converter, the proposed converter either step-up or step down the PV input dc voltage and convert to ac directly in a single stage. Converter is sourced from a single PV source and a single buck boost inductor as storage element for both half cycles. This results a symmetrical operation without any parameter difference. The configuration is simple, compact and less weight as it has lesser components. Since, the converter works on buck boost principle, it can be used whether required ac voltage is lesser or greater than input PV voltage. It has zero dc component at ac output because of its symmetrical operation and hence a favorable THD. Detailed design based on analysis of the converter is revealed in the paper. Proposed design is targeted for Xilinx Virtex-II pro FPGA xc2vp50-6ff 1152 for Hardware proof of concept. Job Scheduling plays an important role in Cloud Computing environments. In this paper, the impact of First Come First Served and Earliest Start time (EST) based Job scheduling are compared. It is shown that when EST based Job Scheduling is used, priorities can be set on Cloudlets execution based on their EST. After the scheduling of Cloudlets, Single Threshold based VM provisioning or Two Threshold based VM provisioning is done at the Cloud Provider. In the proposed Two Threshold and Single Threshold based VM provisioning algorithms, a cost effective Data center selection policy is used for selecting the Data center with minimum cost. It can be shown that Service Level Agreement (SLA) violations can be minimized by using Two Threshold based VM provisioning algorithm when compared to Single Threshold based VM provisioning algorithm. A micro grid which is having distributed generation like photovoltaic power generators, wind power generation, distributed generation using bagaaas as fuel which is wastage material sugar mills. The current availability of biomass in India is estimated at about 500 millions metric tones per year. Studies sponsored by the Ministry has estimated surplus biomass availability at about 120 - 150 million metric tones per annum covering agricultural and forestry residues corresponding to a potential of about 18,000 MW. This apart, about 5000 MW additional power could be generated through bagasse based cogeneration in the country's 550 Sugar mills, if these sugar mills were to adopt technically and economically optimal levels of cogeneration for extracting power from the bagasse produced by them. This extra distribution generation can be shared with utility grid using back to back converter. Sensor fusion of this kind is done using an Extended Kalman filter obtained from the values of above sensors for a mobile autonomous robot. Many such methods implement a statistical model that describes the behaviour of the gyroscope and the odometry component. However, because these systems are based on models, they cannot anticipate the unpredictable and potentially \"catastrophic\" effects of irregularities and frictional changes occasionally encountered on the floor. We present experimental evidence that non-systematic odometry error sources impact the robot's motion. Therefore a new approach has been developed based on a study of the physical interaction between ground and the robot. This approach has been implemented by developing an embedded system with ARM 7 based LPC2148 micro-controller. It uses the conventional fuzzy control for controlling the K<sub>p</sub>, K<sub>i &</sub> K<sub>d</sub> of an integer-order PID controller along with fractional-order integral and derivative parts. The parameters of the PID controller are first tuned using Ziegler Nichols. Then, using GA, optimized solutions for K<sub>p</sub>, K<sub>i &</sub> K<sub>d</sub> and λ & μ (which are the fractional components of integral & derivative parts) are obtained. A Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) whose inputs are error & change in error is designed to obtained the crisp values of K<sub>p</sub>, K<sub>i &</sub> K<sub>d</sub>. These values along with the results of GA, are combined to yield better performance. Simulation results are presented in MATLAB. Solar has a huge potential to contribute towards the power demands in almost every country. Harvesting the solar power efficiently is always challenging since it involves the high initial cost. To capture the maximum sun light to convert it to useful energy, a well-designed electronics circuit and an efficient control algorithm is needed. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques helps us in extracting maximum power from the sun light. This paper present a novel MPPT control algorithm that makes use of Adaptive Nuero-Fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). In fact, the ANFIS has a distinct generalization ability for the nonlinear and dynamic behavior of the PV generator. The ANFIS is trained to generate maximum power at inverter output taking into account the continuously varying nature of solar irradiance and temperature. The system ensures the maximum MPPT efficiency and thus maximum power at the inverter terminal. These applications require multicast data transmissions and the data has to be securely passed through the network to the intended receivers. The techniques that are applied for security should also prevent an opponent from learning the contents of these transmissions. Several authentication protocols have been proposed to improve the security of multicast traffic. But not much work has been done on transmitting the data securely in multicast traffic. In the proposed method symmetric encryption is applied to provide confidentiality along with message authentication codes. The performance of various symmetric algorithms such as AES, DES, 3DES and blowfish to the proposed method is analyzed.
