Thermoelectric generator (TEG) produces electrical energy from temperature difference. In this paper, the device is designed in planar geometrical shape for the ease of fabrication. Bi2Te3 is considered for p and n-type legs of thermoelectric generator due to its high seebeck coefficient. The thermocouple is designed in nano-scale (1nm, 1nm, 6nm) to miniaturize the energy harvester. The result shows an open circuit voltage of 4mV from a single thermocouple. The main scope of this designed device is to provide power to wireless, biomedical and IoT sensors which consumes less energy to operate. Simulation of this research work has been done in COMSOL Multiphysics.","PeriodicalId":108842,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Robotics,Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques (ICREST)","volume":"8 1-2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114047295","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Blowfish, a symmetric block cipher algorithm, uses a variable-length key from 32 bits to 448 bits. It is unpatented, requires less memory to execute, fast, and simple to operate. The LZW algorithm is also simple to implement and works by building a dictionary adaptively. It is effective particularly against data loss. The implemented modified Blowfish algorithm is observed to be faster than LZW algorithm in terms of total time to encrypt and decrypt Bangla and English text. It is observed that modified Blowfish algorithm is the fastest (0.16ms) to encrypt Bangla text while LZW algorithm is the fastest (0.07ms) to decrypt Bangla text. It is also observed from inputting text of different packet size that on average Bangla text decryption is considerably slower than Bangla text encryption by modified Blowfish algorithm.","PeriodicalId":108842,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Robotics,Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques (ICREST)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127100788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power electronics based inverters are very popular for fast response and precise control. In this paper an IGBT based three phase power inverter is proposed. Conventional three different conduction modes of 1200, 1500 and 1800 have been adopted. Micro-controller based firing pulse generation circuit using a special multi-winding transformer and opt-coupler to apply isolated firing pulses for each IGBT has been developed and tested successfully. Simulation and test results of the inverter for three phase resistive as well as inductive loads have been presented. The test results are found to be in good agreement with the simulation outcome and also with the theoretical analysis. The main objective is to make an inverter with selectable conduction modes so that specific mode can be defined for resistive or reactive loads.","PeriodicalId":108842,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Robotics,Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques (ICREST)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114303750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Star shaped and fan shaped Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) are incorporated separately on base plane of each antenna. Resonant frequency apprehended for the designed antennas is 5.25 GHz. The proposed fan shaped EBG based antenna exhibits a wide bandwidth of 244 MHz covering wireless applications like IEEE 802.11a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) (5.125–5.395 GHz) and High Performance Local Area Network type 1 (HIPERLAN/1) (5.150 GHz– 5.350 GHz). The antenna also covers a well portion of Worldwide interoperability for Microwave Access (Wi-MAX) (5.25-5.85GHz) with comparatively healthy gain of 7.15 dB and noteworthy radiation efficiency. Size reduction of patch with the installation of EBG structures has also been brought forward in this work. Different conventional protocol based techniques can be used to determine this parametric quantity. However, these techniques have several limitations including protocol complexity in underwater environment due to the unique characteristics of underwater network such as long propagation delay, high error rate, non-negligible captures effect, dispersion, node mobility and high path loss. In order to evade those limitations a cross-correlation based node estimation approach is implicated. It is an alternative and a statistical approach for signal processing and it is also an efficient technique for any environment networks. In this piece of work, a node estimation technique is proposed by cross-correlating the received signals by four sensors for underwater networks. Nodes and sensors are considered as transmitters and receivers respectively. The aim of this work is to improve the estimation performance including accuracy compared to the performances of existing methods. Here, the performance is measured with respect to the comparison of coefficient of variance and error bar and it exhibits better performance comparing to the existing works.","PeriodicalId":108842,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Robotics,Electrical and Signal Processing Techniques (ICREST)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122283452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
