Engineers are problem solvers and innovators who develop solutions for technical, societal, and commercial problems. Undergraduate engineering degree programs are the training ground to produce future engineers with appropriate knowledge and skills. This paper describes a process to incorporate major design experiences that prepares students for professional engineering practices. Design experience starts in the first semester and is an integral part of the curriculum throughout the four years. Students finish with major design experiences in their junior and senior years. ABET student outcomes are followed as guidelines while implementing design projects.
