Abstract

Quantum dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is the modern trend in nanotechnology, which has been introduced to tackle the shortcomings of CMOS transistor based technology. In recent years, huge research has been performed to coincide the QCA based technology in designing digital logic circuits. In our paper, we proposed a 3-dot QCA based 2 : 1 Multiplexer (MUX) and 1 : 2 Demultiplexer (DEMUX) which has been designed and simulated. In this paper, we have shown the design of basic gates with 3-dot QCA and the design of MUX and DEMUX was done without any overlapping by using minimum gates.
