This work consists of two parts. The first part reviews the extant literature on the intertwining of health and safety issues with other issues—and, in particular, with sustainable leadership. The chapter utilises the SL foundation practices of Avery and Bergsteiner's model to propose an original model that connects SL practices with policies and practices regarding workers' health and safety, according to a measurement system—The International GRI Standards. The second part focuses on a business case which has validated the proposed model. This work can thus serve as a corporate reporting suggestion of employee health and safety initiatives, examined in a broader view of SL and corporate social responsibility.","PeriodicalId":107758,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Key Dimensions of Occupational Safety and Health Protection Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130800631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So, it was possible to compare the obtained results and conclude in what way the pandemic led to changes in those feelings among people employed in different sectors and different gender. The results show that the factor of occupational safety is the most important for persons employed in the private sector and those who own private business, while for the state employees it is in second place. The highest satisfaction is present in state employees, while the situation is completely opposite in persons employed in the private sector. Women generally have a lower sense of professional satisfaction, while differences in the level of stress after a pandemic disappeared.","PeriodicalId":107758,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Key Dimensions of Occupational Safety and Health Protection Management","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127083467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, the direct and indirect impact of circular economy practices on the realization of the goals of sustainable development according to Agenda 2030 was analyzed. In particular, this chapter focuses on the relationship of the concept of circular economy and the Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030 using the example of the Republic of Serbia. The key research findings in this chapter confirm the initial research question and provide the answers to the raised questions and issues. The recommendation is that the activities of the competent state authorities in the Republic of Serbia should be directed towards eliminating the information gap, strengthening institutional capacities, and creating strategic documents. This is a necessary prerequisite to enable a quantitative analysis of the verification of the results achieved in this area in the Republic of Serbia and to make comparisons with the best performing countries.","PeriodicalId":107758,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Key Dimensions of Occupational Safety and Health Protection Management","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121257661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a concept that implies the application of various measures and procedures in order to prevent or mitigate public health emergences and ensure the health of the population. The purpose of this chapter is to evaluate the level of Western Balkans capacities and capabilities to prevent, detect, and quickly respond to public health emergencies. The aim is to identify critical factors for improving the health security conditions of each country in the Western Balkans. The analysis is based on the methodology for measuring the Global Health Security Index, applied by the Nuclear Threat Initiative and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. The research is conducted through a comparative analysis and a benchmarking method. The conclusions indicate a low level of health security conditions in the Western Balkans compared to the selected European countries.","PeriodicalId":107758,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Key Dimensions of Occupational Safety and Health Protection Management","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131705397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

New business environment requires a new job design in order to protect employees and ensure business continuity through remote work implementation. Such working concept takes a period of adaptation, consequently bringing some side effects. This chapter is based on the results of the research conducted through a survey among employees of the companies operating in the Republic of Serbia. The aim of the chapter is to point out the challenges faced by the companies during remote work implementation. The objective of the chapter is to determine the possibility of adopting a remote work within various groups of employees. The purpose of this chapter is to provide guidelines for easier remote work implementation for different categories of employees. When the pandemic ends, remote work would not be necessary, but with accumulated experience, it also can create strategic advantages both for employees and their companies.","PeriodicalId":107758,"journal":{"name":"Handbook of Research on Key Dimensions of Occupational Safety and Health Protection Management","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123239839","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Of particular interest, however, is the consideration of this topic in relation to tourism. The fact is that another human right is that of travel. Therefore, it is important to discuss the possibilities for assuring the health and safety of tourist providers and tourists. New information technologies enable the simultaneous use of multiple media, which leads to a revolution in the common way of working with people in order to create a successful organization. Today, information technologies are becoming a strategic element in the development of the organization and society as a whole, and are becoming a basic management resource. The aim of this chapter is to present the possibilities of predicting burnout and chronic fatigue based on the professional style of the employee, as well as examining the differences in the severity of burnout, chronic fatigue and circadian rhythmics, programmers working at home, so-called freelancers, and those working in companies.
