Ecoliteracy needs to be given to children early to instill basic environmental preservation behaviors. There has been a decline in environmental quality due to low awareness of eco-literacy. This study aims to review bibliometric literature on applying eco-literacy-based learning to increase student awareness of the importance of protecting the surrounding environment. The literature review was taken from articles obtained using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application from 2017 to 2022 and obtained 67 articles. The articles are then analyzed using VOSviewer software to map and look for research gaps that are still possible to be researched. Some topics provide research opportunities, including \"education\", \"environmental education\", \"environmental\", \"sustainability\", and \"ecological literacy\". From the point of recent research on the application of student eco-literacy-based learning models for environment-related materials still provides room to be carried out.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132401162","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose is to provide an overview of how the Indonesia Equivalency Program as an alternative education links to similar systems of education provision around the world. The literature shows variations in the terminology of non-mainstream education for out-of-school youth used interchangeably among countries. The notions of non-formal education, alternative education and second change education are often used and relevant in order to established well-defined axes along which to situate thinking about Indonesia Equivalency Programs. Through alternative education that offers democratic educational experience, the Indonesia Equivalency Programs is an alternative education system, based on the belief that people can make their own choice regarding mainstream or alternative schooling. The Equivalency Programs fits with the notion as a second chance education to caters students who failed in their first attempt. The aims of participating can be varying, from seeking remedial support to help in getting employment, or pursuing lifelong learning.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133095492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Future teachers' self-efficacy is an essential factor affecting their teaching performance in the classroom. This study aimed to explore the self-efficacy of prospective physics teachers in Indonesia. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale consisting of 18 statements and reasons for scoring. The questionnaire on self-efficacy was divided into the self-efficacy domain Content Knowledge (CK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), and PCK. The participants were 71 final-year students from 5 Physics Education Study Programs in Indonesia. According to the results, the total self-efficacy score of prospective teachers in physics was 6.98, which falls into the high category. In the CK, PK, and PCK domains, self-efficacy was 6.91, 7.06, and 6.93, respectively, in the high category. An in-depth analysis of students who responded in the low category showed that prospective teachers with low self-efficacy tend to be unsure that they have taught well. They believe that they have not fully mastered physics material and the characteristics of diverse students. Also, they have not gained significant teaching experience. According to these results, teacher education institutions must re-evaluate what learning activities can increase prospective teachers' self-efficacy in teaching and their teaching opportunities.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115638566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study poses two research questions: 1) To what extent do primary school learners demonstrate knowledge and comprehension of wild animals prior to visiting the zoological garden? 2) What is the level of learners' awareness about wild animals’ habitats before visiting the zoological garden? Using a phenomenological approach, the study explored the learners' knowledge and awareness of wild animals. Data was collected through qualitative methods, including drawings, from a sample of six learners aged 10-12 years old. The findings indicate that learners have limited knowledge and comprehension of wild animals and their habitats before visiting the zoological garden. The results also highlight the significance of teachers incorporating information about wild animals’ behaviour and adaptation to their environment when teaching science. The study recommends that zoological gardens offer learners valuable educational opportunities to improve their understanding of these animals.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132029838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
