It begins by emphasising the significance of environmental education in shaping students' attitudes and behaviours towards environmental issues. The paper explores the link between the environment, economy, and politics and argues that comprehending these connections is essential for students to become informed and engaged citizens. Environmental education can offer a platform for teaching students about the intricacies of the economy and politics, including sustainability, resource allocation, and social justice. The paper draws upon examples from existing environmental education programs and presents strategies for integrating economic and political topics into environmental education curricula. Overall, the paper contends that environmental education can empower students to become informed and active participants in their economy and political systems, contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130961159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method used in this research is descriptive research through a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, namely questionnaires of 140 sample class X students at one of the senior high schools in Pandeglang, Indonesia. The independent curriculum is an intracurricular learning curriculum that gives students more time to explore concepts and competencies. One of the programs from the Independent Curriculum is Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, or the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, with the theme of a sustainable lifestyle. Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project activities in this independent curriculum have a positive impact. Based on the research results, 70.7% of class X students agreed that implementing Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project with the theme of a sustainable lifestyle had an impact and was effective for students in caring for the environment. The problem faced by the teacher is the need for students' ability to understand the speaker's explanation material, such as students' ability to understand definite integrals, calculate definite integrals and simple algebraic functions, and use integrals to calculate areas. This classroom action research was conducted in class XI in a school in Serang City, Banten. Activities carried out as many as two cycles of action. In general, the procedures in each action are (1) planning, (2) implementing, (3) observing, (4) reflecting on the results of action research, and the results show that based on data analysis during the cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the application of the Think Pair learning model Share (TPS) in learning mathematics on integral material has increased both qualitatively and quantitatively, namely: The learning outcomes obtained by students in learning mathematics are: Initial results (pretest) show an average score: 46.75; The results in cycle I rose to an average score of: 77.25; The results in cycle II rose to an average score of 79.25. Student activity in carrying out mathematics learning activities shows: In cycle I, it shows an average of 60% (good enough), and in cycle II, it goes up and shows an average of 88% (very good). The results of the research and discussion above show that the action hypothesis is proven, namely, the use of the TPS model can improve mathematics learning outcomes for class XI high school students.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115626188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Children's literary media is an effective medium, especially applied to elementary school-aged children at the golden age of character planting. Stories in children's literature can dialogue life in an interesting, concrete, and contextual way. The fable entitled \"The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Teaches It to Fly\" by Luis Sepulveda is one of the translated fables with the theme of environment and family, which is considered to have the potential to be used as a learning resource for environmental education. Research that attempts to analyze the environment's value in fables and its use as a learning resource in the era of the MerdekaBelajar(independent learning) curriculum is still very limited. This research aimed to; 1) describe the value of environmental education in the fable \"The Story of a Seagull and the Cat Who Teaches It to Fly\" by Luis Sepulveda; 2) describe the use of fables as a learning resource for elementary school students; 3) describe its relevance to the profile of Pancasila students in the independent learning curriculum. This research is qualitative, using a text study approach and descriptive analysis. This study showed that this fable can be used as a source of learning materials for elementary school students following the theories that support student development and learning approaches, such as; meaningful learning and constructivism, as well as relevant to the proclamation of the Pancasila student profile in the Merdeka Belajar(independent learning) curriculum. However, at present, Rawa Danau Nature Reserve 's existence is threatened due to changes in the structure and habitat function by the activities of the surrounding community. Therefore, it is necessary to have a solution in the form of efforts to preserve and preserve the diversity of species and their ecosystems. One form of this program is conservation education. Conservation education is a form of effort to protect biodiversity and natural resources by increasing knowledge, skills, participation, attitudes, and awareness of the importance of natural resources to sustain life. Information media is needed to facilitate the achievement of conservation education goals, one of which is the development of a birdwatching field guidebook. This study aimed to develop a birdwatching field guidebook as a medium for conservation education in the Rawa Danau Nature Reserve area The development method was used to create the field manual. The developed guidebook contains information on bird diversity, bird conservation, observation techniques, and bird observation locations, as well as bird identification sheets accompanied by bird distribution patterns in the form of descriptions and illustrative pictures or photographs of research results. The book was also developed to meet the principles of environmental education, namely to develop awareness, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and participation in protecting the environment.","PeriodicalId":107171,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Pendidikan Indonesia Gemilang","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132113876","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
