It has been demonstrated how the Resurrection Sisters understand the evangelical Beatitudes and how they carry them out every day. This analysis has been based on the documents of the Congregation (the Rule and the Constitutions), the writings of the Foundresses, Blessed Mother Celina Borzęcka, and the Venerable Servant of God Mother Jadwiga Borzęcka, as well as those of the general superiors. Because of the historical ties between the male and female branch of the community of the Resurrection, references have been made to Fr. Piotr Semenenko and Fr. Adolf Bakanowski. Based on a study of the sources, it has been shown that the Resurrectionist spirituality combines the Paschal Mystery and the ideals of the Eight Beatitudes. His specific approach to social issues and to everyday human life should be called ‘social personalism”. His social teaching is extensive, and abundant in theories, tackling the most current and difficult problems of the modern times, focusing primarily on defending of human beings from the external threats of totalitarianisms and dictatorships, as well as from the internal pressure of erroneous ideologies. However a lot has been changed since the John Paul II’s era, the imperative in his teaching to establish and proclaim the full truth about the man, his personal dignity, his conscience, as well as his temporal and eschatological vocation still remains relevant, posing a challenge to the successive generations. He built his social teaching with a strong dependence on the Biblical contents and the Magisterium of the Church. He wanted it to serve not just as a theoretical approach of the Magisterium to the everyday social issues, but to sound as the Gospel in the ears of the modern man. He put together social philosophy with theology of worldly matters, economics with eschatology, ethics with kerygma. Thanks to John Paul II, the Church's social teaching has taken on the sound of a prophetic vision that restores to people the joy of life and the hope of regaining of the meaning in building the world together and increasing the value of the quality of human relationships in it. Without the prospect of the eternal life and the Redemption, social issues would have become just an ideology seasoned with the Catholicism. He has chosen the synod of bishops as the main tool for this reform. This paper shows how the functioning of the Synod of Bishops, which the pope has profoundly transformed, puts this project of a synodal Church into effect. From this point of view, the process of the 2018 synod on youth is an example of how synodality is transforming the Church. It is however unusual to encounter a reflection on the person’s intrinsic uniqueness as imago Dei. For Edith Stein intrinsic or a priori individuality refers to a unique quality of the person’s soul which unfolds more or less fully in the unity of the person’s body-soul-spirit unity: «the soul is destined for eternal being, and this destination explains why the soul is called upon to be an image of God in a “wholly personal manner.”» (FEB 504 [422]) This ontological approach contributes to a consideration of interpersonal enrichment through love, as a way to personal fulfilment and to complementarity through communion. The author showed that in these readings, one could find dogmatic and ascetic themes. The dogmatic threads include the deity of the Holy Spirit, the relationship between Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit working in the Church and individual believers, and the Spirit working through the sacraments. When it comes to ascetic themes, the author identified the following: the action of the Holy Spirit in human spiritual, prayer and eschatological life. Augustine’s doctrine depicts a human being as a well-ordered structure that brings together various distinct strands. Among them, one cannot ignore the subject of bottom-up approach to anthropology, or the author’s stance on transcendence. The following article is to discuss the main aspects of experience in human being, which are part of the subject of existential philosophy. Augustine’s conception could be called anthropology of the thinking subject, as all our emotions tend to be conditioned through the prism of what is happening here and now. The similarity of his views with the existential movement lies in the fact that both trends focus on an individual going through a crisis. From a philosophical point of view, Augustine concentrates on the analysis our existence in conjunction with the issues of evanescence. In this direction it is necessary to search the foundation of this dignity, as affirmed by Pope Francis' Encyclical \"Fratelli tutti.” Such a search cannot prescind from the concept of person, taken up in the theological reflection of the first centuries to say the newness of the God of Jesus, and only later used to tell who is the human being, whose creation in the image and likeness of God grounds his inalienable dignity. The denial of man's capacity for self-transcendence and the existence of an absolute foundation - imagined as totalitarian and repressing diversity – expose to the danger of manipulation of what is human and disintegration of the social tissue. Pudełko","doi":"10.30439/wst.2022.1.2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30439/wst.2022.1.2","url":null,"abstract":"The historical-literary analysis of the Book of Isaiah suggests that Isaiah 61 is the oldest chapter of the last part of the Book of Isaiah, known as Trito-Isaiah (56-66). There are messages from the Babylonian exile that portray the post-exile Jewish community. There is disappointment and at the same time anticipation of the realization of earlier prophecies of restoration. In Isa 61: 1-3 there is a confession of a mysterious figure sent by God. The hero, anointed with the Spirit of the Lord, heralds a radical renewal of Israel. The exegetical analysis of the prophet’s individual tasks allows him to be identified with various heroes of the biblical story (David, the Messiah, the Servant of the Lord). At the same time, these activities were most often attributed to God Himself.
