The nonlinearity of the ferromagnetic core is treated by the polarization fixed point method (PFPM), the magnetic polarization correction being performed iteratively in terms of the magnetic field intensity. A hybrid Finite Element Method (FEM) - Boundary Element Method (BEM) technique is employed in order to solve the electromagnetic field problem. The FEM is used for the computation of the field within the ferromagnetic bodies and, independently, the BEM is applied to the outside free space, the coupling between the FEM and BEM domains being performed by an iterative correction of the boundary conditions. The terminal voltages determine the coil magnetic fluxes and, then, the current density is obtained by integrating the vector potential over the coil cross sections. The variation with time of the terminal voltages is also taken into account in the solution of the coupled electro-mechanical problem. The response is determined for terminal voltages applied at various times within a period.","PeriodicalId":103513,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE)","volume":"103 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123713154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The stator is a PZ composite ring, and the rotor is a metallic ring. The rotational torque is produced by exciting the stator into a flexural traveling wave, transmitted to the rotor through the stator-rotor friction. A modal analysis provides for the structural eigenfrequencies of the stator. When the AC powering stage providing for two voltages of same amplitude and shifted in quadrature is adapted to a frequency close to the flexural resonance of the stator, the TW reaches higher amplitudes that result in higher rotational velocities because the rotor speed is proportional to the stator TW amplitude.","PeriodicalId":103513,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124546711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, experimental data analysis requires developing a model describing the electrical behavior of the solid electrolyte. The aim of this paper is to characterize the electrical behavior of sintered composite based on ceria using a new model. Therefore, the measurements of impedance components (Z' and Z\"), of two composites based on ceria, designed to be used as solid electrolytes for intermediate temperature fuel cells (IT-SOFC) were performed by Impedance Spectroscopy (IS). The materials are two different composites based on ceria 10YDC + (10%) 150ppm YA (E1) and 10ScDC + (10%) 150ppm YA (E2), obtained by sol-gel method and sintered at temperature of 1500 °C. Two models (microstructural and electric) were applied for determining the electrical conductivity and permittivity of grains (σg and εrg) and grain boundaries (σgb and εrgb) values and the components of the complex impedance Z (Z' and Z\") at different frequencies. The composite E1 presents better conductivities (σg and σgb) than E2 and it is favorable for use as solid electrolyte fuel cells.","PeriodicalId":103513,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131366121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the soldering process different anomalies may occur (changes in the reflow temperature profile, different cooling rates) leading to the inception of some defects, as excessive voids inside the solder, brittle phase formation, concentration gradients of elements or metallurgical composition etc. To avoid this, it is mandatory to follow the parameter values of the reflow process (speed, temperature values etc.). Temperature computing model for two PCA samples during the reflow soldering process, by using Comsol Multiphysics software (heat transfer 3 D module) is presented in this paper. PCA samples with and without resistor contains substrate with two soldering pads together with lead free solder. To carry out the computations, the latent heat of fusion/solidification and the variation with the temperature of the alloy parameters were considered. The results show that the presence of the resistor leads to the decrease of the temperature in the alloy during melting and its increase during solidification.","PeriodicalId":103513,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130052633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different topologies for transmission in near field (magnetic or electric) are presented in literature, with emphasis on the process efficiency, especially when such systems are used for medium or high powers, like those needed for charging the storage batteries from electric/hybrid cars. One of the key elements of the system that provides the contactless magnetic inductive coupling between the power source and user, herein after referred to as inductive coupler, is analyzed in this paper. For reasons of space, this is usually an air-core transformer, with planar, movable windings, for easy adaptation to the conditions of using it. In order to indentify rapidly its parameters, the automatic determination of the transfer function by a vector network analyzer (VNA), apparatus currently used in laboratories, is utilized in this paper. No previous measurement is required.","PeriodicalId":103513,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127363397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
