However these problems are not easy to solve and many studies have been done. Furthermore, in real situation, while doing jobs according to decided schedule, re-scheduling occurs because of new jobs and it is required to decide the schedule considering ability and skills of works. In this study, in the stage of the deciding the JSSPs, we will discuss the method to offer the designer several candidates of the JSP and then designers can select the final schedule considering the difficult properties to formulate the problems. Through some numerical examples, we will confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123193732","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model consists of GMP, GLP and HACCP together with the group of ISO 9000 norms. Agriculture and industry complex preparing to employ a quality control system would have to fulfil, in the preliminary phase, the GMP and GLP condition before introducing the HACCP system and without neglecting the requirements of the ISO 9000 norms. The system GMP and HACCP should be employed in parallel. We have described the working of the mentioned model quality control system for food products in an agriculture and industry complex. It is worth emphasising that a quality control system guaranteeing healthy food products constitutes a complex and diversified action.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"240 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125940928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective is to evaluate the product assemblability and refine the product design before launching its manufacture. The long term objective is to evaluate the product assembly/disassembly time, hence its cost at the design stage in order to support production planning and to determine the financial commitment associated with the product maintenance before its manufacture. To validate the virtual environment (VE) so that quantitative and qualitative information, such as relating to assembly planning activity can be derived from the interaction of the operator with virtual world, we suggest a validation technique based on the evaluation of the operator performance in terms of the generated assembly sequences in real and virtual environments.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131256264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most electromechanical products are assemblies of several components. This paper presents an object-oriented definition of an assembly model called Open Assembly Model (OAM). The assembly model has function, form, and behavior. It defines both a system level conceptual model and the associated hierarchical relationships. The model provides a way for representing tolerance representation and propagation, kinematics representation, and engineering analysis at the system level. The assembly model is open so as to enable plug-and-play with various analysis and applications modules. A case study example is discussed to explain the Usecase analysis of the assembly model.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"157 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121136204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The assembly planner applies the well-known assembly-by-disassembly strategy. The complete geometric feasible AND/OR-graph is built. For testing separability a new very fast approach has been implemented with the advantage of direct hardware support. The entire AND/OR-graph is valuated with respect to two criteria: separability and parallelism. We have generated example assembly plans for realistic industrial assemblies, which are modelled with more than two thousand triangles. Despite the fact of high model complexity, we can achieve reasonable computation times.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"242 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122633970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Current A/D path planning approaches are based on models representing rigid parts. So, an important aspect is an adequate simulation of flexible parts for path planning. The approach proposed will be used as a basis to simulate flexible parts into a virtual reality (VR) environment for the A/D evaluation. First, the study of current assembly path planning methods is performed. Next, as an issue of the problems discussed, a new system integrating real-time and interactive mechanical simulation approaches is proposed. Finally, an example of the interactive mechanical model applicable to flexible rods used into an A/D path planning context for the VR simulation is presented. The present approach is considered as a proposal for a methodology used with VR environments during the product design process.","PeriodicalId":101913,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium onAssembly and Task Planning, 2003.","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2003-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115453512","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
