By the infinite number of symmetry groups we recognize a series of new energy sources. We consider these ones as effective causes for fundamental consciousness. They would play an important role for consciousness (physical stuff with spirit stuff), explaining an individual material body system within a broader global system. The involved energy sources are SU(6), SU(12), SU(24), etc. This new structural model can be explained mathematically as follows: SU(11) ⊃ SU(6) × SU(5) × U(1); SU(23) ⊃ SU(12) × SU(11) × U(1); SU(47) ⊃ SU(24) × SU(23) × U(1), etc, bringing to the creation of various new unknown particle-like entities in wave status, directly and indirectly linked to the creation of life, consciousness and other biological phenomena. The model, called B-DS model, is giving new answers to unsolved questions of reality. It is a new set of primary elements linked to the theory of quantum entanglement. These new structure is also particularly important for clarifications about subtle energies and about the deep vacuum structure.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This online contact led to greater isolation in real life and impaired relationships. The nudging technique called salience was used to increase face-to-face relationships and obtain a reduction in the frequency of use of the smartphone in the moments of aggregation, to gently push people to undertake specific behavior such as distancing themselves from their mobile device in moments intended for sharing. Research has shown that, by making the options more visible, in order to attract people's attention, it is possible to direct them to more appropriate choices. In fact, the data obtained showed that the experimental group had a reduction in frequency of smartphone usage in moments of aggregation, which suggests the effectiveness of intervention.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article reviews those issues and the recent developments to address them and discusses the adequacy of current HF considerations in VR. The four types of realities are first defined: reality, augmented reality, augmented virtual reality, and virtual reality (non-immersive, semi-immersive, and fully immersive). A brief review of the general VR applications (arts, community services, engineering, and others) is presented, followed by a more detailed review of engineering applications (industry, research, and education and training). Notable general HF issues in immersive VR are discussed, including cybersickness, hygiene, immersion injuries, and repetitive strain injuries. Manufacturer support in addressing various health and safety issues, such as in-use symptoms, post-use symptoms, repetitive strain injuries, and system alerts is highlighted. An in-depth review of the research issues related to VR is presented. Based on this study, it is concluded that significant efforts by researchers and manufacturers are still needed to address several HF issues in VR.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a comprehensive framework for highway landscape planning/design that considers all four senses (vision, sound, touch, and smell). The framework includes advanced technologies, such as electroencephalograms, electromyograms, galvanic skin response, and light detection and ranging that are used to evaluate the and physiological aspects of all users (drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists). In addition, two new elements are included in the framework: landscape consistency and the pavement as a landscape. The traditional landscape applications (structural features and transportation elements) and the emerging applications (tunnels, freeways, pedestrian paths, and cyclist paths) are described. Important landscape considerations, including sustainability, traffic safety, persons with disabilities, and education and research are discussed. The proposed framework, which reflects emerging developments in China, Europe, and other countries, should be of interest to highway practitioners involved in highway landscaping design.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Amidst all the design innovations created under this “new normal”, Maskeepers® has gained mass popularity in Asia and North America since its release to the market in February 2020. Received both design patent and copyright, this origami-folded mask holder aims to provide convenient and temporary storage to keep surgical masks from cross-contamination and reuse purposes. This paper aims to evaluate the performance of Maskeeper in four parameters, namely material durability, user-friendliness, sustainability and emotional design (MD, UF, SU, ED). By statistically analysing survey data from a sample size of 124 respondent participants, the study validates some critical design attributes that have the most significant impact on user experience, product ergonomics and emotional design. The research also identifies limitations and shortcomings in the first production of Maskeepers and highlights some recommendations for future design development. The research is timely for any designer to consider new COVID-19 innovations and methods of evaluation.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919309","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most computer workstation is sedentary in nature and often include prolonged sitting without break. Computer workstation often involves sitting for long hours to get the jobs done. Studies have shown that prolonged seating in the workplace leads to musculoskeletal discomforts, increased risks of cardiovascular diseases and overweight. In present study, a questionnaire-based self-feedbacks survey was undertaken so as to study the various relationship of prolonged sitting and computer workstation setups with regards to overweight, the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders and perceived comforts levels and productivity of workers. Data were then analyzed using IBM SPSS (version 22). It was found that prolonged sitting time has significant impacts on overweight, lower levels of comforts and productivity among workers. There is also a significantly high prevalence of Musculoskeletal discomforts among workers who are subjected to prolonged seating working hours. The result shows that different workstation setup affects different parts of the user body. It is recommended that a flexible sit-stand table should be adopted to reduce negative impacts.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919165","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The onset of symptoms beyond the age of 50 is less than 4%, so the target population is relatively younger than most of the chronic cases. For some, the condition might not have any implication at all but for a majority, it compromises the quality of life. With limited to no cure, non-pharmacological interventions are one of the predominant treatment methods for AS. The paper explores the human factors involved in the long-term management of AS and provides ergonomic recommendations for minimizing the impact of AS on the patient and society. Probing into ideal working conditions for a general population suffering from AS. The workplace management and design specifically for an AS patient is the sought goal of the research.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More and more lighting projects will combine music to create a more exciting performance. Pay attention to the lighting design together with the music choice will be a new challenge for the designer. In this research work, the synesthesia theory is introduced to explain and guide the designer to plan a lighting project with music effects. The experimental results show that the superposition of two positively related emotional environmental factors can strengthen the effect on emotions. The environmental fusion of music in major and warm white light or the environmental fusion of music in minor and colored light can increase the emotional arousal and enhance empathy emotion. The superimposition of two negatively related emotional environmental factors will have a weaker effect on emotions. The subject's arousal is mainly affected by music environmental stimuli.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
