The most important of the economic benefits is the enhanced yield that comes as a result of increased mechanisation. Combination of mechanical linkage or systems replacing by some electronic components it’s become mechanical + Electronics = Mechatronics. Linear actuator is best example of mechatronics in term of combination of electronic and mechanical. In linear actuator no need to any hydraulic link, distributor, oil tank, hydraulic pump. In some cases its give better then the hydraulic control actuating devices. If we use mechatronics technologies into agriculture sector there have helpful in controlling system and compactness in whole mechanism.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"66 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To regulate the procedure for placing traffic lights signalling equipment in Indonesia, the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation Number PM 49 of 2014 regarding Traffic signal system is issued. The regulation above does not regulate how far the minimum visibility from the driver to the traffic light is. The limited space in the queue became a problem related to the views of drivers. Researchers conducted a visibility analysis using Digital Human Modelling (DHM) Tecnomatix Jack. Input variable is the type of vehicle, namely motorcycles, sedans and jeeps and the measured output is the distance from traffic light to the vehicle. A traffic light survey was conducted in Denpasar City, Bali, Indonesia. The anthropometric data of the drivers used Indonesian men, around 50% percentiles with ages ranging from 17 to 47 years from the anthropometric data of Indonesians. The testing of waiting distance is using motorcycles, jeeps, and sedans. The traffic lights used are curved type with the visibility of side lights and top lights. The results obtained that the optimal distance for the left side of the traffic light for motorcycles, jeeps, and sedans are 6.57m, 6.77m, and 6.92m, respectively and side lights up to 11.9 m, 7.64 m and 8.74 m. From the survey results, several traffic lights in Denpasar City still do not meet the minimum required distance and some queues require additional lights that are placed in front of the driver so that they can tackle the limited queuing space.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be an important tool when examining a patient to determine what a root cause of a patient’s dysfunction is. And then, what can be done to resolve that dysfunction. Accepting a patient’s medical diagnosis, age, or self-report as to what their problem is, may not be the best measure of a patient’s loss of function. This is especially true when the clinician may be biased against a patient due to their advanced age. Case Description: The following is a case report of a 68-year-old man named ‘Casey’ (not his real name), who was diagnosed with vertigo and with shoulder pain due to arthritis. Casey had fallen several times in the recent past and his physician had advised him to stop playing sports to protect him from injury. The shoulder evaluation was revealing for loss of motion and weakness. However, Casey’s balance and coordination skills were primarily intact. There did not seem an obvious cause for a history of falling. On taking Casey out to the parking lot, he could easily field, catch, and throw a ball without difficulty. It was noted that Casey was left handed and further noted that he had recently started playing third base. As a left handed player, Casey needed to pivot almost 180 degrees every time he threw the ball to first base. This was a difficult movement pattern for Casey, and he lost his balance every time he had to field a ball, pivot 180 degrees and throw the ball to ‘first base’. It was likely that Casey did not have as much of a problem with vertigo as he did with learning an efficient movement pattern that would allow him to play third base as a left handed player. Casey was seen 5 times in physical therapy and was taught lower extremity movement patterns so he could safely throw a ball to first base without losing his balance. Casey accomplished this very quickly, which then let us focus on his limitations in shoulder pain and weakness, which also recovered quickly. Discussion: A Medical Diagnosis will usually offer an incomplete description of the patient. The Physical Therapist needs to be mindful in studying the patient’s movement, which will be helpful in revealing a root cause of a patient’s loss of function. This is especially true in the elderly, who we expect to have limited abilities.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68920061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studies conducted before indicate in consistence association between educational status and underweight among lactating women in Ethiopia. We include 7 studies in different regions of Ethiopia. Materials and Methods: The databases, including PubMed, Google scholar were systematically searched. From 2015 to 2020 data were extracted and tabulated by two reviewers using a table containing the following variables: author, title, date of publication, city(s)/ Region / study design, sample size, percentage women with informal education and percentage women with formal education and underweight. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for cross-sectional studies quality assessment tool was adapted and used to assess the quality of each study. The combined adjusted Odds ratios (OR)) and 95% confidence intervals were calculated using random effect model. Results: In the current meta-analysis seven observational studies involving 3113 lactating women’s were used to estimate the pooled effect size of underweight. The result of 7 included studies indicated that the pooled odd ratio of underweight among women with informal education compared with women with formal education in Ethiopia was 2.47 (95% CI: 1.69, 3.83). Publication bias for estimating the odd ratio of underweight for women with informal education compared to women with formal education (p = 0.881) and (p = 0.649) respectively. Heterogeneity was statistically significant (I2=76% Q=25.06; P<0•001). From 54.35% (1692) women who have informal education 16.35% (509) women have underweight. The overall proportion of underweight was 16.35% and 6.58% for those having informal education and formal education respectively. Conclusions: There was evidence that lactating mothers with informal education are more likely to experience underweight. Based on our findings, we strongly recommended that the health education activities about nutrition should be targeted among lactating women with informal education through health extension workers.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimum dye extraction conditions are obtained: 10 grams of areca nut / 100 mL of water, pH = 10, extraction temperature 90°C, extraction time 120 minutes. Areca nut extract is a natural dye for dyeing silk fabrics under conditions of 90 minutes dyeing time, 80°C dyeing temperature. In this study, aluminium sulphate was used as a mordant. The dyeing properties were evaluated by CIELAB. The areca nut dyes provide a reddish brown shade on the fabric. The color fastness to washing, perspiration and rubbing of the dyed fabric was in good level. The dyed silk fabric has no formaldehyde and azo-amine compounds.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ergonomic design of buildings contributes to maintaining the bioclimatic aspects of the buildings. The study reflects building structure and materials used depend on occupant choices, lifestyle, and economic viability. Therefore, the low-cost mud houses of the coastal regions often follow local practices. The dwelling pattern (two adjacent rooms opening to the corridor) was more prevalent in rural and semiurban areas. The housing exteriors are typical rural locales, commonly comprising agricultural fields, vegetation areas, and ponds. The statistical analysis covering different bioclimatic components, such as transportation availabilities, surrounding environment, and building structure, indicated a significant difference among remote rural, rural and semi-urban residences. The climatic conditions of the four village blocks covered in the study were hot and humid. The component structures provided a basis to explore further the possible influence of additional passive design options in constructing dwellings in coastal rural and semi-urban areas and enhancing thermal comfort. Selective passive design solutions indicate improvements in yearly total thermal comfort hours. Given the viability of poor residents in coastal rural and semi-urban areas, introducing interventions like passive solar direct gain, high thermal mass, night flush, natural and fan-forced ventilation, and evaporative cooling can improve the extent of ~18% in yearly thermal comfort hours. An overall bioclimatic analysis of the rural and semiurban coastal dwellings suggests that some passive design strategies can substantially enhance the thermal comfort of the inhabitants.","PeriodicalId":92777,"journal":{"name":"Ergonomics international journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68919593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
