It is called Hwajeong(和靜) Idea by combining Wonhyo's Hwajaeng(和諍) and Jeong(靜) ideas, and it can be seen that the origin of Korean tea spirit has its roots in Wonhyo's Hwa(和) and Jeong(靜) spirit, and you can get a glimpse of Seosan's Cheongheo idea in a tea poem related to tea left by Seosan Daesa. It is a tea spirit that has an empty mind without clean and private greed. Through the various literature left by Choui, it can be seen that the spirit of tea is not biased to one side and is represented by the spirit of Musajungjeong(無邪中正), which means that it is right and appropriate without going too far. In Korea, in addition to Wonhyo, Seosan, and Chouiseonsa, many tea people expressed their tea spirit through literature, and through this study, we could see the spirit of the noble tea of our ancestors by correctly pointing out the Korean tea spirit. The Korean tea spirit leads to Wonhyo's Hwajeong, Seosan's Cheongheo, and Choui's Musajungjeong, and it can be said to be a proud tea spirit to remind future generations today.","PeriodicalId":8628,"journal":{"name":"Association for International Tea Culture","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82004212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Jucheon’s spirit of tea, which emphasized the sincerity of character in harmony, tried to find the true mind hidden deep in one's heart through doing Haengda so that one could learn and reflect on one's own accord. In addition, while drinking tea through Haengda, the miscellaneous delusions disappear and people find their true heart hidden deep in mind. The cultivation of the mind that concentrates all minds to eliminate miscellaneous thoughts, and is not led by other delusions, which is what we consider as ‘禪’(Zen) of our tea life. In other words, Jucheon's principle of the ‘Joosim Dabeop’ goes beyond the tea ceremony spirit and communicates with the compassionate mind that seeks the universal true entity. In addition, by actively participating in tea ceremony education at local universities and high schools, companies and organizations, as well as various tea culture events for the development of tea culture, Jucheon has came into the limelight as an important person in modern tea culture. She is taking the lead not only in tea culture activities but also in activating the national interest for the succession and development of Jogakbo as first traditional Jogakbo making successor in Korea, which has been somewhat neglected even in the traditional culture sector. As mentioned above, by examining the footsteps of Jucheon, who has been instrumental in transmitting Korean tradition so far, in the hopes of re-recognizing the value of our tea culture and spreading the excellence of traditional and Korean tea culture to the domestic and worldwide, it makes us think again about the role we have to go forward to transmit and develop of our traditional culture.","PeriodicalId":8628,"journal":{"name":"Association for International Tea Culture","volume":"61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91089205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Specifically, this study analyzed Tea Tao as a way of cultivation (修養) in three different cultural aspects, which are respect, sincerity, and courtesy. The characteristics of Confucianism are that the human nature is the principle of the sky and the duty of human being, we have to preserve the mind and train the nature. To do so, we need to watch ourselves, which is referred to as the inner reflection. Also, we need to watch out our actions based on respect, sincerity, and courtesy. \u0000In the tea drinking culture of the mind cultivation theory, making tea with energy from heaven with all your heart. By doing so, tea and oneself become one, not two. reaching the state of introspection while drinking alone with nature as a friend. According to the yin-da culture of cultivation theory, greedy comes from the abundance of material leading to worries, defilements, wrongdoings, and extravagant thoughts. The practice of tea ceremony is to rectify the body and mind, and to keep the mind from being greedy. Also, 'Ki control (气統制) and Temperance (心節制)' is to change the temperament and make it good. Tea with Ki, which is the mechanism for cultivation, is highly effective in cultivating. In addition, renunciation of greed and the good attitude of the heart (制心) is required to cultivate the mind even thought the mind is originally bright, Finally, by letting go of selfish mind and obsession and meditating in a sitting position to find the nature, the mind will settle down and cultivation will lead to enlightenment through tea. It will become the best state of tea life, and it will reach the state of Confucianism that preserves the principles of heaven and removes greed.","PeriodicalId":8628,"journal":{"name":"Association for International Tea Culture","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74155245","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the analysis, the literature on the current status and problems of the Korean tea distribution market, the advantages of the Sri Lankan auction system, and the role of the broker as the subject of the auction were reviewed. As a result of the analysis, the distribution structure of Korean tea is an integrated management method that growers manufacture and sell directly, and consumer prices are determined by producers, not market principles. The price of tea formed in this way was generally high compared to the quality, and it caused the consumer's disregard, which became an obstacle to the expansion of tea consumption. In particular, the fact that no standardization of made tea specifications and sensory evaluation made the tea valuation results ambiguous. As a solution to these problems, legislation for the installation of domestic tea auction center, standardization of Korean made tea and sensory evaluation, and a plan for fostering auctioneers who can play the role of auction brokers were presented.","PeriodicalId":8628,"journal":{"name":"Association for International Tea Culture","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85101901","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two types of bioactive compounds were separated from the EtOAc fraction, by purification with silica gel and octadecyle silica gel (ODS) column chromatography. The chemical structure of the compounds were identified as quercetin (1) and geniposide (2) by analyzing spectral data with NMR, MS and IR. For the evaluation of antioxidant activity, DPPH inhibitory efficacy test and ROS production inhibitory efficacy test were performed. First, as a result of measuring the DPPH inhibitory efficacy of two samples up to the highest concentration of 50 ppm in the DPPH inhibition efficacy test, the IC50 values of NICS-1 and NICS-2 were measured to be 25.554 ppm and 22.943 ppm, respectively. In ROS production inhibitory efficacy test, the ROS production was reduced in a concentration-dependent manner in both samples, and statistically significantly inhibited ROS production compared to the UV irradiation group. This study reveals the intention of the Japanese government and the Japanese government-general to manage tea and tea culture through the management of tea gardens by Japanese living in Korea during the Japanese colonial period. It was confirmed as follows that the intentions of the Japanese and the Japanese Government-General of Korea had an impact on the Japanese tea plantation management. We collected data on Ogawa tea fields in Jeongeup and Ozaki tea fields in Gwangju to review tea field operations and compare the two tea fields. The tea fields in Ogawa are tea fields grown from Japanese tea seeds, and the tea fields in Ozaki are wild tea fields native to Korea. This was revealed in the newspapers promoting the Ogawa tea plantations in Jeongeup and the Ozaki tea plantations receiving warnings not to interfere with the tea business in mainland Japan. Japan and the Japanese Government-General of Korea revealed that there was an intention and purpose to manage Korean tea culture by spreading the lie that Japan started tea culture and tea industry in Korea during the Japanese colonial period.","PeriodicalId":8628,"journal":{"name":"Association for International Tea Culture","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88929535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, in relation to the five colors, it is a viewpoint as a practice of kasina that appears in 『Visuddhimagga』. Second, it is the perspective of the practice of conformity expressed in the 『Mahā-Rāhulovāda Sutta』, in which the teachings of the Buddha are transmitted in relation to the Five-elements.
