According to the nocturnal gastric secretion test among them there are \"hypersecretors\" and persons with moderate elevation of acid formation. In conformity with the efficiency of the operative treatment among the patients examined, groups are defined: those with recurrent disease and those recovered after vagotomy. The DU endocrine apparatus undergoes both qualitative and quantitative alterations after vagotomy. When recovery after vagotomy takes place, the number of endocrine cells only slightly exceeds these parameters in the patients with a moderately manifested acid production. These alterations are adaptive. The recurrence of DU in patients with moderately manifested acid production before the operation can be explained by hyperplasia of G-cells. A high degree of hyperplasia of all elements of the endocrine apparatus in the \"hypersecretors\" can be one of the causes of the DU recurrence. The data about the state of G-, Ec- and EcL-cells before and after vagotomy can be used at prognostication the results of surgical treatment of patients with DU.</p>","PeriodicalId":8379,"journal":{"name":"Arkhiv anatomii, gistologii i embriologii","volume":"100 7-8","pages":"5-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12891256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to their ultrastructural organization the microvillar cells are analogous to those in the main olfactory organ in the pig and have all signs of the receptor cell: microvilli at the top and centrioles in cytoplasm, as well as the central process getting off the cell body. Both in the pig and in the sheep the supporting cells contain in their apical region a number of basal bodies with cilia, getting them off. In the receptor zones of epithelium albuminous glands predominate, in the respiratory zones--mucous ones. A great amount of liquid mucus, excreted on the surface of the epithelium by numerous glands and supporting cells, apparently, facilitates adsorption and desorption of odorous molecules from the receptor cells after their stimulation. The cilia of the supporting cells probably from the stream of the vomeronasal mucus. The cartilagenous torus epithelium of the vomeronasal organ of the pig and sheep has in general a similar structural organization. This demonstrates general for Vertebrata receptor mechanisms of odorous substances, evidently connected with perception of feramones or contact olfaction.</p>","PeriodicalId":8379,"journal":{"name":"Arkhiv anatomii, gistologii i embriologii","volume":"100 7-8","pages":"36-43"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"13003504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cell composition of the lymph nodes and cross sections of structural components have been compared. The cross section of the cortex decreases, while that of the medulla increases in comparison with corresponding parameters of the acute experiment. In 2 weeks and 3 months after DMSV effect for 2 days the part (%) of poorly differentiated cells and middle lymphocytes increases, while content of plasma cells in the medullary cords decreases. During rehabilitation after DMSV effect for 14 days a low level plateau is noted (as in the acute experiment). However, in lymphoid nodules++ within content of the poorly differentiated cells and middle lymphocytes in the cortical germinative centers in 2 weeks and 3 months the number of the poorly differentiated and reticular cells increases essentially, as well as mitotically dividing cells (in comparison to the acute experiment). The most essential alterative changes have been revealed in the retina, appearing in 6 h after radiation, as degeneration of the membrane disks of the photoreceptors and as enhancement of phagocytic activity of pigmentocytes, and immediately after the radiation--as destructive disturbances of mitochondria in radial glyocytes and as reaction of the synaptic apparatus. Degeneration of some preterminal axons has been shown. The most manifested feature's increased ramification of distal axons. No signs of real reinnervation have been found. New collateral branches of preterminal, terminal and ++ultra-terminal axons usually have their ends at the same muscle fiber in the form of additional nervous terminals. Decreased average diameter of motor end-plates, revealed in the test animals, depends not on their degeneration, but on formation of new small motor end plates as a result of immature axonal ramification of distal axons. Acetylcholinesterase activity in the end-plates is decreased. A suggestion is made that excess of thyroid hormones in the skeletal muscle disturbs both the system of cyclic nucleotides and mechanisms of muscular contraction, connected with it and axoplasmic transport, respectively. The changes of the terminal intramuscular innervation revealed, structures of the motor end-plates with a decrease of acetylcholinesterase activity are supposed to result from disturbances of neurotrophic regulation of the muscle fibers because of the disturbances of the axoplasmic current as the excess of thyroid hormones.</p>","PeriodicalId":8379,"journal":{"name":"Arkhiv anatomii, gistologii i embriologii","volume":"100 6","pages":"75-81"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"13004261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
