SR was defined as reduction in LVESV = 30% at one year follow-up. Blood samples were extracted preimplant. Multivariate logistic regression and ROC curves were performed.Results: 50 patients were included, 23 (46%) were SR. Characteristics related to SR were: female (35 vs. 11%, p?=?0.04), suffering from less ischemic cardiomyopathy (13 vs. 63%, p?<?0.0001) and lateral (0 vs. 18%, p?=?0.03), inferior (4 vs. 33%, p?=?0.01) and posterior infarction (0 vs. 22%, p?=?0.01); absence of mitral regurgitation (47% vs. 22%, p?=?0.04), wider QRS width (157.7?±?22.9 vs. 140.8?±?19.2ms, p?=?0.01), higher concentrations of sCD40L (6.9?±?5.1 vs. 4.4?±?3.3 ng/mL, p?=?0.02), and left ventricular lead more frequent in lateral medial position (69 vs. 26%, p?=?0.002). QRS width, lateral medial position of the lead and absence of mitral regurgitation were independent predictors of SR. sCD40L showed a moderate direct correla-tion with SR (r?=?0.39, p?=?0.02) and with the reduction of LVESV (r?=?0.44, p?=?0.02).Conclusions: sCD40L correlates significantly with SR to CRT. The objective of the study was to assess the efficacy of hydrotherapy versus gym kinesitherapy during the second phase of treatment in TKA patients, with regard to the improved gait test, pain, stiffness, joint balance, muscle strength and inflammation.Methods: A controlled and randomized trial was carried out. TKA patients received a first rehabilitative phase (15 60-minutes sessions) at the gym. In the second phase (15 40-minute sessions), one group performed physiotherapy in a gym and another in a swimming pool. Different variables were assessed (basal, after 15 and after 30 ses-sions): functional capacity, pain and stiffness with WOMAC index, joint balance with goniometer; muscle strength with Lovett scale, and result of 6-minute gait test.Results: A total of 115 patients participated, 59 (51.3%) in the gym group and 56 (48.7?%) in the pool group. This situation entails a number of risks, such as increased caries lesions in children. The objective of this study was to design a pediatric dentistry booklet for the clinical assessment and follow-up of oral health in children, as well as its evaluation by health professionals and parents.Method: Design of the booklet, in 2018, by pediatric dentists of the Murcia University Dental Clinic, based on a biblio-graphic review, to instruct in preventive (dietary and oral hygiene) and curative (planning of pediatric dental visits and treatments) habits. A convenience sampling of forty pediatric dentists, dentists, pediatricians and parents was carried out to evaluate the preliminary design, in 2019. They completed a questionnaire with their data, opinion on different aspects of the booklet and suggestions.Results: The evaluation of the preliminary version of the booklet by health professionals and parents was positive. In neoplastic disease, the decision to initiate administration of curative therapies, especially immunotherapy, should be taken only after any potential risks have been taken into account. Geriatric patients are more susceptible to developing more serious adverse reactions than the younger population. We report the case of an octogenarian patient with non-small cell lung cancer who developed neurologic toxicity following pembroli-zumab therapy. We carry out a differential diagnosis of encephalitis and provide a literature review of pembrolizumab-associated auto-immune encephalitis cases in order to improve our knowledge of this unusual toxicity. An 11-year-old boy with CAP previously studied in emergency and digestive services without detecting organic pa-thology, suggesting a psychosomatic origin. On examination, he showed pain in the abdominal wall located to the area of the terminal branch of the Th11 intercostal nerve, with a positive Carnett's sign and a favorable response to injection with local anesthetic at the trigger point. Somatosensory evoked potentials revealed right anterior rectus nerve neuropathy. He was diagnosed with ACNES. As treatment, an ultrasound-guided subfascial injection with lidocaine and dexame-thasone into the trigger point was administered. After four months, he remains asymptomatic. Changes in healthcare activity were described in each autonomous community and com-pared according to hospital size and the provincial impact of the pandemic.Results: A total of 187 (66?%) of the 283 Spanish EDs participated in the study. The total number of patients attended de-creased to 49.2?% (<?30?% in the Castilla-La Mancha region), with a 60?% reduction in non-COVID-19 patients (reduction <?50?% in the regions of Asturias and Extremadura). Rural regions accumulate not only habitat effects (dispersion, population size) but also significant demographic imbalances (ageing) and obvious socio-economic disadvantages that define barriers to accessibility. This paper analyses local perceptions of access to health services in order to identify factors that facilitate and hinder continuous primary care and follow-up of referrals.Methods: Qualitative study conducted in the valleys of Aezkoa, Salazar and Roncal (Navarre) between 2012 and 2016. Accessibility was analysed through seven dimensions: availability, geography, affordability, accommodation, timeliness, acceptability, and knowledge/awareness. A total of 21 in-depth interviews were carried out with experts (health care personnel), key informants (related to care and local development) and sociological profiles. The information collected was checked against a conceptual framework specifically designed to facilitate the evaluation of rural accessibility poli-cies.Results: The results showed the weight given to geo-graphy, the availability of services, as well as the aging sociological environment. Accessibility was defined as a function of time versus distance and the availability of mobility alternatives.Conclusions: It is necessary to consider inclusive policies that address the particular features of rural populations and their territories. Ageing means a loss of general accessibility and influences demands for services.
