The most informative characteristic feature of the venous outflow is a period of RP half-life, determined on a radiocirculogram of the brain. A high level of thyroglobulin (TG) in 70-75% of patients in the absence of antibodies to it and the presence of a \"cold node\" on a scan is suggestive of differentiated types of thyroid cancer. In these cases TG can serve as a tumor marker. A moderate level of Tg in 25-30% of cases against a background of a high level of antibodies to it does not permit its use as a tumor marker in such patients even in the postoperative period. High levels of TG and TSH despite the use of thyroid drugs in patients, operated on for differentiated types of thyroid cancer, may be suggestive of a possible manifestation of a recurrence or metastatic spreading.</p>","PeriodicalId":76145,"journal":{"name":"Meditsinskaia radiologiia","volume":"36 7","pages":"29-32"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"13043227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analysis of the literature has shown that some factors of quite a favourable course of a tumor process are likely to be the signs of clinical radioresistance of the tumor. A strong possibility of individual prognosis of a tumor response to radiation therapy was shown for oropharyngeal and stomach tumors even at its onset, guided by change in the level of their proliferative activity, determined with an indirect immunofluorescent rapid method.
