The Dong Cuong Mother has an important position in religious life in Vietnam. The Mother governs the mountains and forests, the ultimate power. The unique feature of the Mother worshiping custom in Dong Cuong is that it has harmonized the Vietnamese mother’s beliefs with the unique cultural features of the indigenous peoples. Mother Thuong ngan is the God who rules the green forest. Returning to the Mother Dong Cuong is to ask for Mother’s fortune, to pray for wealth such as a golden forest, to be prosperous, to be full, to trade smoothly, etc. In people’s minds, the Mother Thuong ngan has very lots of permission capacity. The power of Mother Dong Cuong is the sacred and miraculous power that the Holy Mother created to give people or punish them. This power is created from the people’s belief and desire for a prosperous, happy, and fair life and is expressed through the people’s customs and rituals of worshiping the Holy Mother, the legends of The model has been and is being handed down in folklore. The power of Mother Dong Cuong is authority, supernatural powers that cover both space and time, dominating people’s ideas. {"title":"Investigative Reporting Within Development Journalism in Ethiopia: What Triggers Amhara Radio to Reconcile It?","authors":"Ayele Anawetie Gessese","doi":"10.22158/sssr.v4n1p1","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22158/sssr.v4n1p1","url":null,"abstract":"This study assesses the practice of investigative reporting within development journalism in Amhara radio. The study used quantitative and qualitative content analysis. Data was mainly collected through document analysis and semi-structured interviews. 1326 pieces of news were selected for content analysis by using multi-stage sampling, and 13 reporters, editors, and media managers were selected for interviews by using multi-stage sampling and purposive sampling. The finding shows that Amhara radio tries to reconcile investigative reporting within development journalism by maximizing the number of news stories that engage in investigative reporting. As per the findings, 28.4% of the news stories were devoted to investigating and criticizing the wrongdoings of the government; this is by far higher than the previous four years’ average of 1.9%. However, the media didn’t touch on the fundamental structural problems of the government in its investigative reporting, and there was also a lack of in-depth investigation into issues. The main factors that trigger the medium to engage in investigative reporting are media managers’ and regional government’s commitment, social media pressure, and the public protest movement against the government. This paper addresses the interpretation of the child’s right to play in the case of children who are sick or in need of hospital or community healthcare. Over the course of the past 150 years, the care of sick children has evolved to the point where play is recognized as a key element of pediatric provision in many nations of the world; the ‘hospital play’ profession has grown from its tentative introduction in the UK in the 1950s to become part of a worldwide movement for the child’s right to play. In fact, this topic is a descriptive study of nouns in Wolof and English. It outlines the characteristics of variable and invariable nouns and paints out their descriptive aspects. Indeed, the grammatical rules of nouns mainly consider the determiners which vary. In Wolof for example, the determiners are set from marks of classes as basic roots. The number is marked from these class roots to rule. As for English, is marked within the analysis that nouns behave thanks to grammatical occurrences of the determiners. We have made the distinction of the number between the variable and invariable nouns according to the determiner and the nouns’ morphology.
