The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle elaborated his view of happiness in terms of its connotation and manifestation, and the way it is achieved. Happiness is first of all a realistic activity in accordance with virtue, which can be obtained by people and embodied in their daily life. Happiness is not only personal happiness, but also the highest and broadest “supreme good”, which requires the joint efforts of the whole city-state. His profound philosophical exposition provides us with profound theoretical guidance for the development of happiness education today.","PeriodicalId":73913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of psychology & behavior research","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82224924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an avoidance behavior chosen by individuals in response to limited social resources and ongoing harsh social competition. Previous studies have demonstrated that the phenomena of “lying flat” has a major negative effect on student learning. In order to investigate the impact of educational innovation on the phenomenon of “lying flat”, we will observe students’ learning behaviors under the traditional education model and innovative teaching methods in our Bali teaching practice to determine the causes of “lying flat” and the means to improve educational innovation. The study found that “lying flat” is caused not just by students’ discontent with their level difference, but also by the conflict between external resources and internal pressure. In addition, educational reforms on three levels, including further stratified education, strengthening teacher education and promoting effective communication between students and teachers, and employing online resources to promote students’ interest in learning, can ameliorate the phenomenon of pupils “lying flat”. This study contends that educational innovation can have a positive effect on the phenomena of “lying flat”.","PeriodicalId":73913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of psychology & behavior research","volume":"102 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75707256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To better integrate into the information society for the elderly, efforts are also needed to clarify the causes of their digital disconnection and develop appropriate solutions. In this study, semi-structured interviews are utilized to investigate the self-adjustment and external intervention of the elderly in the age of digital media and to explore the ways, causes, and effects of digital disconnection of the elderly. The focus issue of this study is to clarify the subjective and objective factors of digital disconnection, especially cognitive problems, group influences, and technological access barriers in the elderly population concerning digital devices and the Internet.","PeriodicalId":73913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of psychology & behavior research","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88173711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Festingers social comparison theory, the social comparison orientation instructed how people process the information they compared for, and related emotion was induced differently. In this paper, 2000 college students in Boston were proposed to participate in two experiments that discuss how different social comparison orientations affect their perception of life satisfaction. For the hypothetical result, we proposed that a high level of engagement in social comparison and ability-based social comparison was associated with less life satisfaction than the participants who had a low level of social comparison and opinion-based social comparison. In terms of coping strategy, we assumed that a high level of self-efficacy, which is the belief in capability to achieve a certain goal, will buffer the negative impact from upward comparison and improve the life satisfaction of those participants who like to engage with social comparison and ability-based comparison orientation.","PeriodicalId":73913,"journal":{"name":"Journal of psychology & behavior research","volume":"50 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72633287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
