Knowledge sharing and organizational virtuousness are used as mediating variable in the study. Banking industry is selected for collection of data and result implications. The data was collected using the standard adopted questionnaire for each variable from branches of five major Pakistan’s banks. We applied Pearson correlation, regression and hierarchal analysis for pragmatic purposes. Our outcomes point out that all variables have significant positive correlation among all variables of the study. Authentic leadership impact on organizational commitment found significant. Moreover, authentic leadership impact on knowledge sharing and organizational commitment is also found significant. The impact of organizational virtuousness on organizational commitment is significant but the impact of knowledge sharing on organizational commitment is found insignificant. With respect to mediating results both are found to be significant. So we can infer that banks industry put attention towards these variables to enhance their employees performance and improve working environment and ultimately to succeed in their objectives in these competitive corporate environment.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80294855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As writers belong to one or the other gender, they must be influenced by their own gender-specific way of speaking, that must, in turn, influence the kind of language they choose for their characters in an interaction. To support our hypothesis, we selected three one-act plays each by a male and a female writer. The research analysed the dialogues of the characters. The study established that the male playwright could present a realistic portrayal of his male characters but was not able to present his female characters’ speech realistically. Similarly, the female writer could portray her female characters to speak like women in real life but was not able to portray her male characters to speak like men in real life.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"70 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76320226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first institution set up as a governmental body to recommend the measures to make society Islamic at provincial level was ‘Department of Islamic Reconstruction’ in 1947 while the first constitutional body provided by the 1956 constitution was Islamic Law Commission. This paper will attempt to contour the working of both these two constitutional bodies and the findings of this paper will help manifest the approach of the later governments that provided Advisory Council of Islamic Ideology (1962) and Council of Islamic Ideology (1973) in later years. The HPWS is important and effective for all organizations in modern competitive situations. This system allows organizations including the higher education institutions to get the desired performance over a compact system to attain the desired short-term tasks and long-term objectives. The HPWS helps in defining the parameters that are dynamic in attaining the desired performance in the institutions. The employees’ performance is the most effective phenomenon leading to the employees’ actual potential and efforts towards task achievement. The existing literature offered different factors that may interrupt the linkages between HPWS and employees’ performance. In this connection, psychological contract breach has been researched as mediator in different contexts which is still missing phenomenon in higher educational context. For this purpose, this study aimed to examine the above-mention relationship in educational sector by collecting and analyzing the data obtained through structured questionnaire from teaching faculty hailing from southern region HEIs in KP, Pakistan. The results provide significant information in deciding relationships among the results thereby offering certain policy implications to policy makers and recommendations to the future researchers. Which has now turned from literary to more strategic and influences the profits of an organizations. Islamic finance in itself is also considered as more social than conventional one. It is thought that products offered by Islamic banks comply with the concepts of social responsibility. To find out the fact; this study was initiated by making comparison of widely used Carroll’s CSR pyramid with the basics of Islamic finance. For the purpose, readily available literature was reviewed and concluded that Islamic banking products are in parallel with all five components of Carroll’s CSR pyramid. Islamic banks are acting as development institutes rather than loan houses by eliminating interest from the core banking activities. The concepts of Islamic finance are aimed at equal distribution of wealth and equal opportunities available to poor or suppressed sectors of economy for more productivity; hence resulting in foster economic growth. Like conventional banks (those follow Basel committee rules), Islamic banks also follow rules/guidelines formulated by AAOIFI and IFSB to ensure transparency, trustworthiness and sense of responsibility. In overall operations/progress, Islamic banks are acting as good corporate citizen.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"64 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73726142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Past studies have identified leadership as a predictor of reducing workplace bullying, however, studies on the mechanism between the same are scant. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of resilience and the moderating role of Islamic work ethics between ethical leadership and workplace bullying. The data for this study were collected from nurses working in the Pakistani healthcare sector as they are the victims of bullying because of a number of reasons. First, In Pakistan, patient/nurse ratio is very high (a single nurse has to face almost 25 patients). Second, doctor to nurse ratio is also very high (1:5). The study collected data from 284 nurses of both public and private sector hospitals through a questionnaire-based survey. Hypotheses of the study were examined through structural equation modeling using AMOS and the results revealed a negative impact of ethical leader on bullying. In addition, resilience was noted as explanatory variable and Islamic work ethics was noted to weaken the association between ethical leader and bullying. Most of the nurses’ staff in Pakistan are female, so results may be gender-biased. The model of this study is based on social learning theory and Islamic work ethics has not previously been studied in this perspective.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90711856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
