In online mobile games, the “in-game purchase” is the most crucial stream of revenue for game developers. Past literature has merely focused on online purchase intention in relation to consumer lifestyle, information risk, experience, behavioral control and subjective norms. The research which delves into in-game purchase intention remains sparse. This study is the pioneer to investigate chronotypes’ (evening and morning-type individuals) and online mobile game loyalty impact on in-game purchase intention. A sample of 313 of two Chinese universities students confirms that evening types have greater online mobile gaming loyalty and high in-game purchase intentions than morning-type individuals, whereas game loyalty has a positive relationship with in-game purchase intention. Furthermore, we discussed paper contributions and insights for managers have been outlined to develop an effective online mobile gaming strategy. Directions for future research are also stated for researchers and academicians.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"58 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85632727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It explores how great philosophers, theoreticians and scientists have treated the idea of time during different periods. The research finds out that despite the variegated nature of the development of the concept of time, much of human history has observed alternate periods of the linear, teleological and cyclical, non-teleological conceptions of time. The study has established that the same alternating trends mainly influence the human perception of time during the modern and postmodern eras. It also indicates that the progressive and teleological view of time resonates well with the spirit of the modern age. On the other hand, the research argues that the perpetual present, as a non-teleological notion of time, predominates the postmodern time-world.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"126 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88677982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The population was 14856 trainee teachers. The sample was selected through simple random and convenient sampling techniques [n-594+14]. The mixed-method methodology was adopted to gather data from the unit of analysis through questionnaire and interviews. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. Large correlation was noted with r-value (.621) showing significance of induction training program with professional development of newly appointed teachers at primary and secondary levels. It is suggested that PITE and RITEs may be involved in providing training occasions for the skilled improvement of newly hired teachers for the achievement of organizational goals.","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80318351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The United States of America remains one of the main targets of Pakistani televisual satire in the new century. The research finds that Pakistani televisual satire effectively exposes the flaws of the US foreign policy. Pakistani televisual satirists are very critical of America’s exploitative neocolonial enterprise. The satire among other things condemns America’s anti-Islam narrative and Islamophia; invasion of other nations and violation of their sovereignty; lust for oil and power; utilitarian foreign policy; and false pretexts for the war on terror. The research analyses the relevant satirical content of two of the representative shows. The study argues that the twenty-first century Pakistani televisual satire may be regarded as a counter-narrative. Additionally, the study uses Arthur Asa Berger’s classification of humour (1993) to explain the devices behind the satire making it effective. In this way, the study highlights the literary merit of Pakistani televisual satire. The research proposes that Pakistani televisual satire may be acknowledged as a subgenre of political satire. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":7068,"journal":{"name":"Academic Journal of Social Sciences (AJSS )","volume":"264 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77609921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current study was aimed at investigating the influence of student feedback on teaching effectiveness and students’ satisfaction. The research philosophy of this study is positivism and the research design is explanatory design. The research approach is deductive reasoning. The type of investigation is causal study. The population of this study is all engineering universities of Sindh. Sample size was n=1066 collected from undergraduate students of ten public and private institutions in university setting. The unit of analysis for quantitative study is individual university student. The time horizon for this study was cross-sectional. Sampling technique was probability sampling wherein simple random sampling technique was used for data collection. Cronbach Alpha Reliability of the instrument (34 items) was 0.938 which was considered quite good (Hair, Black, Babin, Anderson, & Tatham, 2011).Quantitative data were analyzed through statistical software, AMOS version 22 wherein 2nd Order CFA and SEM were performed. \u0000The results of study revealed that students’ feedback has a significant impact on teaching effectiveness at higher education level and teaching effectiveness has a significant impact on students’ satisfaction at higher education level as (β=1.553, p value=0.000) and (β=0.981, p value=0.000) respectively. This study recommends that student feedback is valid, consistent, and reliable for the teaching effectiveness and students’ satisfaction.
