As the main institutions that educate people for the Party and the country, colleges and universities have the responsibility to explore the realization path of carbon peak and carbon neutralization against the new problems encountered in the practice of energy conservation and emission reduction in colleges and universities. The development of students’ problem analysis and problem-solving skills is crucial. As an important part of the vocational education system, skills competitions are considered a “booster” for improving the quality of teaching in vocational institutions. This paper examines the problem-solving skills of students in preparation for skills competition. First of all, we introduce China’s education policies and conduct a review of early scholars’ views, followed by a discussion on the specific problems faced in the design of the entry for skills competition and an exploration of the process of enhancing students’ problem-solving skills around these problems; we then propose several suggestions for vocational institutions to enhance their participation in skills competitions. Skills competitions provide a “special stage” for students in vocational institutions to show their abilities. It affects the overall teaching and learning quality as well as the high-quality development of both teachers and students. Avoiding classroom silence is a highly dynamic and valuable learning process. This study explores the ecological logic of classroom silence of both teachers and students based on the connotation of classroom silence and deconstructs the endogenous and exogenous mechanisms of classroom silence from the perspectives of escape culture and the continuity theory. Attaching importance to campus education while neglecting social training is a long-standing problem in vocational colleges. Vigorously developing higher vocational education is an inevitable requirement for the high-quality development of education in China and the ardent expectation of the public. Only through the construction a scientific and efficient education and training system and the deep integration of campus education with social training can the design of complementary resources and the improvement of talent training quality take place. The vocational education and training system contains many elements. This study takes teaching resources, teaching staff, and management mechanism as the main research subject and carries out related research work. Firstly, this paper expounds the policy documents of the Chinese government and emphasizes the importance of vocational education. Secondly, the relevant research results of scholars are reviewed. Thirdly, this paper proposes several specific suggestions for the construction of key elements of the vocational education and training system. A gap remains between the current teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses and those in the new era. In order to improve the nurturing effect of key courses, it is necessary to study the basic logic of its effectiveness enhancement from the perspective of practice. Thereafter, the rationales for each activity and the reasons for the choices within the lesson plan are elaborated in detail. A questionnaire and interviews were conducted to explore the problems and challenges faced by Chinese undergraduates in the Philippines, thereby providing some first-hand information for subsequent studies on cultural adaptation. Chinese undergraduates in the Philippines faced four main challenges, namely interpersonal communication, living environment, social services, and course study.
