The well-known problem of unmeasurable premises is overcome by employing only known signals for the observer while the difficulty of obtaining the error system is solved by algebraic rearrangements and Taylor series. The resulting error dynamics are exactly rewritten as a tensor-product polytope which enables solving for the observer gains via linear matrix inequalities. Both simulation and real-time examples are provided.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89225685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A MAP deals with the question of how to assign elements from s disjoint sets with n1,…,ns items on each. A MAP with s dimensions is called a sAP. Local search heuristics and Memetic algorithms have been proven to be the most effective techniques to solve MAP. In this work we use an exact technique that outperforms some local searches and Memetic algorithms on several instances of MAP. Then, we design a heuristic that uses repeatedly our exact technique in order to provide high quality solutions for harder types of instances of MAP. We perform an experimental evaluation of our exact technique and of our heuristic and we show its effectiveness against more complex local searches and some Memetic algorithms for MAP.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"130 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89469452","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effect of selenization on structural, morphological, topographical, and electrical properties of prepared films was studied. We observed a strong dependence of the properties of CIGSe films on the growth mechanism as well as the chemical composition. The results showed that 450 °C and 500 °C of selenization temperature was not sufficient for the inter-diffusion of all elements forming a good CIGSe absorber layer. Instead, the film selenized at 550 °C showed a better result which could be a good absorber layer for highly efficient CIGSe based thin film solar cells.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"110 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86739330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The images are taken by a camera firmly attached to the robot, tilted downwards, looking at the planetary surface. A measurement is detected as an outlier only if its intensity difference and linear intensity gradients can not be described by motion compensation. According to the experimental results, this modification reduced the positioning error by a factor of one third in difficult terrain, maintaining its positioning error, which resulted in an average of 1.8%, within a range of 0.15% and 2.5% of distance traveled, similar to those achieved by state of the art algorithms successfully used in robots here on earth and on Mars.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"2675 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87814189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to take advantage of the system characteristics, differential polynomials are used for the observer design. The asymptotic stability proof for the resulting estimation error is given. The effectiveness of the methodology proposed here is exemplified by designing a PIO for a Lorenz attractor and doing the respective numerical simulation. The results obtained by the PIO are contrasted with those acquired by a proportional observer (PO) whose design is based in the same methodology, this in order to show the improvement given by an integral action.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88500313","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As might be known, genetic algorithms (GAs) main application is in the field of multivariable functions optimization and this kind of iterative procedures in their simplest forms may be suitable to serve as a tool in the automation of design of integrated CMOS devices and technologies where the variables and restrictions are known. FGMOS-based devices along with MEMS structures when embedded in a single-chip platform (CMOS – MEMS technology) are expected to be in compliance with a set of design rules for both their mechanical and electrical properties, making easier to code and decode variables for their use in a GA in a discrete always-positive basis. In this approach, parasitic and process-resolution-related issues are neglected and further analysis based in a more detailed modeling and parameter restrictions is encouraged.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87616177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unmanned aerial vehicles have been around for years, they present characteristics that aloud them to be used for different purposes. Nowadays, these devices have become more popular and their application increases rapidly in various fields. This paper focuses on the implementation of a low cost device that can help to control a fire. By implementing a mechatronic device, it is possible to spot a fire on time, and extinguish it without risking humans lives. It is an emergency responder device that can assist firemen in fighting high rise fires. The description of the proposed mechatronic system is briefly described, as well as experiments that demonstrate its principal functionality.","PeriodicalId":6924,"journal":{"name":"2018 15th International Conference on Electrical Engineering, Computing Science and Automatic Control (CCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91111254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The technique used was a feedback control state–space integral. First it is calculated the controllability of system, the plant is linearized and obtained the location of poles and apply the feedback control for stabilization. Finally, the system is augmented to add an integral term to eliminate steady-state error.
