Therefore, methods are needed to check the integrity and accuracy of the transmitted data. The most famous and secure way today is hashing. This paper focuses on the Keccak algorithm for hashing image sizes $256times 256$ pixels utilizing our specialized FPGA implementations. Our experiments were performed on the FPGA Intel DE2-115 (EP4CE115F29C7) and the Nios II microprocessor. Additionally, research on computational metrics like throughput, entropy, NPCR, and UACI demonstrates how the Keccak algorithm is specialized, secure, and has a wide range of potential applications for hashing images. Finally, we propped our method using the Block Floating Point Hardware 2 (FP2). We contrasted the outcomes of our analysis with other recent optimization techniques used by other researchers, and the results demonstrate our advantages.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"20 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87207554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is not to keep AI a black box and at the same time to be recognized as a transferable literacy with multiple learning benefits per age group of students. In order to strengthen this perspective, the design of workshops to introduce the basics of artificial intelligence to middle school students according to educational neuroscience principles is presented. With these workshops, the importance of AI literacy is emphasized, and students are given space for hands-on activities. The proposals are based on the axes of perception, representation and reasoning, learning, physical interaction, and social impact and include sections on Introduction to Machine Learning, Machine Learning Application Examples, Supervised Learning, and Training-Test Processes, Unsupervised Learning, and Machine Learning Algorithms.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"50 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82712183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How does the use of Instagram by Greek politicians affect their perception by the public? To validate our findings, we construct a dataset on Greek MPs’ attributes and proceed with its statistical description and visualization. A hierarchical, multiple linear regression framework is employed to model the number of MPs posts with respect to various predictor variables. Data is gradually introduced, creating a series of models of increased complexity and deducing whether the added predictors account for any more variance, thus either accepting or dropping the respective independent variables. Acquired models can subsequently be compared with ANOVA to determine the significance of the models’ change.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"15 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82759984","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we report on a study with 16 expert participants of a workshop that employed the “Sci-Fi Prototyping” methodology. Participants were asked to co-author speculative scenarios around potential AR futures. These scenarios then acted as “design fiction probes” to elicit discussions on the challenges and opportunities presented by AR for future societies. Our findings contribute a deeper understanding of the socio-technical implications of AR use in civic participation, including: (i) perceptions on how the current technological status quo is projected and reproduced in the future; (ii) how a ubiquitous AR infrastructure might affect the dichotomy between public and private space; and (iii) effects of AR in shifting perceptions of materiality.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"42 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85971704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The term is often used as a semantical umbrella to describe state-of-art technological advances that improve the quality, the productivity and the efficiency of the industrial and societal processes. It combines developments in the disciplines of Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Robotics, Internet of Things, Genetic Engineering, Quantum Computing and Blockchain. Metaverse itself, in the form of AI-fueled 4D virtual reality space is redefining the way humans and machines are interacting with themselves and with each other. To maximize the positive impact of the 4th IR, it is essential that the underlying mechanisms are conceivable and assimilated by everyone. In this paper we investigate the awareness of the general population on Virtual Reality, Internet of Things and Blockchain technologies under the framework of the 4th Industrial Revolution. A literature review on the core 4th IR technologies, supplemented with a combined questionnaire survey is presented. The work aims to quantify the awareness of the general population on the technologies that contribute the most to the 4th industrial revolution.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"6 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86403212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

FL techniques generally use a central server or cloud for aggregating the models received from the devices. Such centralized FL techniques suffer from inherent problems such as failure of the central node and bottlenecks in channel bandwidth. When FL is used in conjunction with connected robots serving as devices, a failure of the central controlling entity can lead to a chaotic situation. This paper describes a mobile agent based paradigm to decentralize FL in multi-robot scenarios. Using Webots, a popular free open-source robot simulator, and Tartarus, a mobile agent platform, we present a methodology to decentralize federated learning in a set of connected robots. With Webots running on different connected computing systems, we show how mobile agents can perform the task of Decentralized Federated Reinforcement Learning (dFRL). Results obtained from experiments carried out using Q-learning and SARSA by aggregating their corresponding Q-tables, show the viability of using decentralized FL in the domain of robotics. Since the proposed work can be used in conjunction with other learning algorithms and also real robots, it can act as a vital tool for the study of decentralized FL using heterogeneous learning algorithms concurrently in multi-robot scenarios.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"227 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77456904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sequencing of the human genome has led to a radical change in genetic medicine as well as the association of genes with diseases. The application of genetic knowledge in clinical practice in the last 4 years is due to the development of next generation sequencing systems (NGS). NGS technology, also known as massive parallel sequencing, is an innovative high throughput DNA sequencing methodology. NGS technology is the new genetic “weapon” enabling the sequencing of all genes (whole exome sequencing) and the entire human genome (whole genome sequencing) in just a few days, producing huge amounts of information. NGS is rapidly gaining ground in the field of genetic diagnosis and research. It can give combined results for both small gene damage and structural abnormalities of chromosomes. Based on this technology, the goal of GeneScreening project is to create a genetic platform for the detection of pathogenic variants in the copy number variations (CNVs) of wide clinical utility and application in order to prevent and diagnose developmental disorders and mental illnesses. Sub-objectives are: (i) the mapping of repetitive sequences in which the recombination points that cause deficits and microplications are identified, (ii) the creation of biomarkers of pathogenic recombinations, (iii) creating a database of sequences involved in pathogenic recombinations and (iv) the creation of standard recombination point detection software in NGS data.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"46 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74417774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
