Such devices can be installed in large scale IoT deployments ranging from smart homes to smart cities and smart buildings. The aim of these devices shall be not only data monitoring but at the same time energy saving and overall building management. In the context of this paper, an all-in-one microprocessor is presented, namely ZAC888DP, which can sense data from multivariate sources and perform data analytics on top of the collected data. Moreover, machine learning (ML) models are deployed in the embedded memory of the device and specifically TinyML methods using a tflite file. The aim of the developed ML model is to collect data from four heterogeneous sources (water sensor, light sensor, humidity and temperature) in order to identify and forecast possible lavatory accidents. The experimental results of this work are encouraging as the model managed to achieve 100 percentage accuracy after 256 iterations. Future directions include the integration of the device with a neural network that will be trained on top of the pre-trained model in order to increase the overall precision even further.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"42 1","pages":"1-7"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75089506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data that were collected with a questionnaire are structured in a dataset which undergoes the process of factor analysis. The objective of the analysis is, apart from dimensionality reduction, to understand what are the main constructs that influence users in their online consumer behaviour. We identify three such factors having significant impact on their buying practices. The model derived can be of particular value to e.g., marketing executives in their product and services promotion strategies.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"3 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73985489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One representing the nodes’ data and another for the edges’ data of the graph. Using this model every search process in a big data volume requires multiple joins of large data tables, which significantly reduces their performance. The increasing use of graph datasets in various computer science fields such as (big data, social and computer networks, networks, Semantic Web, knowledge graphs, biological networks, and road networks) creates the need to research methods that will improve the performance of RDBMS when managing this type of data. In this paper, unlike most of the solutions proposed in the literature to date, a purely relational approach is presented using only the native RDBMS query analyzer and not either aggregate functions not implemented in all RDBMSs or an additional plugin layer that analyzes and processes the graph queries in order to translate them into the corresponding SQL versions. With the proposed solution we proved that by designing a bi-directional BFS algorithm that passes through properly selected intermediate pivot points, it is possible to query graph datasets significantly larger than those a complex SQL query can handle, with no major overhead.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"492 ","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72419402","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nondestructive testing of metal components in machines, tools and construction materials is still considered the most effective method of controlling the quality of metals during production and maintenance, but a more automated and autonomous process of data collection can go a long way with the efficiency of industrial applications. In this paper, an energy harvester is used as a power supply for a steel health monitoring sensor. The paper follows the redesigning of an existing magnetic permeability sensor and the application of the energy harvester in order to achieve autonomous operation, which also includes data monitoring and transmission, thus making the system an Internet of Things compatible device.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"39 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79150172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In cases of intermittent energy scavenging, electrical energy is stored in such components for later use. Most used energy accumulators are batteries and supercapacitors. EDLC supercapacitors store less energy than lithium-based batteries, but their charge/discharge limit reaches up to half a million cycles. However, due to self-leakage currents, the usable energy stored in an EDLC is difficult to estimate and varies with time. In this paper, we provide practical observations concerning the efficiency of such devices in IoT systems with energy scavenging and provide energy capacity estimations vs baseline energy storage calculations.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"16 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85870930","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In line with all relevant EU policies such as the F-gas Regulation, the Green Deal and the Waste Framework, Retradeables promotes the maximization of the quantities of recovered F-gases that are reused in the market by identifying the most suitable treatment method to be applied (recycling, reclamation or appropriate destruction) depending on their original quality grade (A/B/C). Currently, the Retradeables marketplace has been rolled-out in 3 EU countries: Slovakia (SK), Hungary (HU) and Czech Republic (CZ) with a view to scaling up across Europe in the next few years. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to present the key functionalities of the marketplace platform, including the user registration process under internal and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification schemes, the individual trading activities of sellers (supply side) & buyers (demand side) within the platform, the use of wallets and the available payment service based on the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) network. At the same time, the full transparency about acting parties, refrigerant volumes & types and running prices as well as full traceability of all refrigerants on sale are both highlighted as the two key design parameters on which Retradeables is structured. Finally, it should be noted that Retradeables is now considered as a beta platform since continuous upgrades are made according to the various requirements and customizations indicated by local users.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"33 1","pages":"1-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82032167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We introduce the construction of a graph clustering technique based on an eigenvector embedding and a local graph clustering method based on stochastic exploration of the graph. Then, the developed implementations of both methods are presented and assessed in terms of performance. In addition, the difficulties associated with assessing clusterings and benchmarking cluster algorithms are explored where PageRank and EigEmbed algorithms are utilized. The experiments show that the EigEmbed outperformed PageRank across all experiments as it detected more communities with the same number of clusters. Ultimately, we apply both algorithms to a real-world graph representing Twitter network and the followers and tweets therein.","PeriodicalId":68279,"journal":{"name":"计算机工程与设计","volume":"31 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82909143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such uses range from Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for neighbourhood planning, to mapping selforganised civic initiatives and location-based Facebook events. Responding to such developments, the HCI community and research has been active in exploring the potential of such systems for a more meaningful participation of citizens in place-making. Building on such research, this paper explores the design of GIS to support location-based civic participation through undertaking expert interviews, local community workshops and deploying a bespoke GIS system in the context of Athens, Greece.
