The absolute value of the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of the 10 $mu mathrm{m}$ pulse is passively stabilized and controlled by the time delay between the two-color input pulses. The duration of the generated pulse is 13.7 fs, which corresponds to 0.402 cycles. The absolute value of the CEP of the sub-half-cycle pulse is consistent with a simple four-wave difference frequency generation model.","PeriodicalId":6789,"journal":{"name":"2021 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"143 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86638042","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First, with a CoaXPress interface (CI), BLIP enables real-time 3D surface information reconstruction at 1 kHz. Second, employing two cameras with temporally interlaced acquisition (TIA), BLIP improves the 3D imaging over 1000 frames per second on a field of view (FOV) of up to 180x130 mm2. CI-BLIP has empowered informative observation of the 3D motion of flag-fluid interaction for the first time. Meanwhile, TIA-BLIP has been applied to visualize the glass breakage by a hammer.","PeriodicalId":6789,"journal":{"name":"2021 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"66 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91198228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Integration of such sources on-chip offers enhanced stability and miniaturization, important in many applications involving the processing of quantum information. Here we demonstrate the efficient coupling of quantum light generated in a III-V photonic nanowire to a silicon-based photonic integrated circuit. The hybrid integration is based on a “pick & place” approach using a nanomanipulator in a scanning electron microscope. We demonstrate detected count rates of 1 Mcps and single photon purities >95%.","PeriodicalId":6789,"journal":{"name":"2021 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"65 1","pages":"1-2"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86222096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experimental configuration is comprised of optical fiber and RF wireless channel with a successful transmission and detection of 4 GHz 16-quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) wireless signals at 25 GHz over 2-m of wireless distance in the downlink using photonic heterodyning of a low noise monolithic quantum dash (QD) passively mode-locked laser (MLL), whereas in the uplink, a single wavelength laser is employed together with an optical intensity modulator to transmit 4/16/64-QAM signals with 2 GHz bandwidth. For both downlink and uplink, error vector magnitude (EVM) of lower than the standard requirements of 17.5%, 12.5% and 8% is achieved for 4, 16, and 64-QAM signals, respectively.","PeriodicalId":6789,"journal":{"name":"2021 Photonics North (PN)","volume":"19 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89206296","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
