This study proposes an oscillator configuration by integrating two resonant tunneling diodes on a single slot-ring antenna for terahertz communications. As a practical solution to this problem, we propose to propagate a low loss (∼ −0.004 dB/m) TM Sommerfeld mode on the surface of a superconducting niobium wire held between transmitters and receivers or between different quantum systems. The graphene nanoelectrodes are placed on low-temperature-grown (LTG) GaAs as photoconductive material. Due to the high transparency and high conductivity of graphene, increasing carrier densities were obtained which leads to the high performance detection of THz induced photocurrent being one order of magnitude higher than for conventional metallic interdigitated photomixer. A Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) is used to irradiate a 300 GHz band terahertz wave to a wet sample, and the complex reflection coefficient is measured. The temporal change of the water content is thus observed by analyzing the change of the complex reflection coefficient. The data showed a pronounced and prolonged drop below dry reflectivity when the water content that peaks at low weight (∼10%).
