The radiation spectra observed at 100 K showed two distinctive emission components beyond the black-body radiation, one promoted by $delta f$ independent thermally excited incoherent plasmons and the other promoted by $delta f$ dependent coherent plasmons. First, we use a physics-based numerical self-consistent electro-thermal model integrated into a harmonic-balance code to obtain the diode physical parameters that optimize the multiplier performance. Then, we employ an analytical self-consistent electro-thermal model implemented into commercial circuit design software to determine the complete multiplier layout that optimizes the overall performance. For concept validation, we measured the far-field radiation pattern of a 26-dBi 0.852-THz standard gain horn antenna-type TX with known far-field characteristics with the THz CATR. With the help of geometrical multi-frame super-resolution imaging, the directivity determination accuracy achieved at a peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of 34.8 dB is 0.2 dB. Further, we investigated a THz continuous-wave (CW) photomixer TX with unknown far-field characteristics at 0.852 THz. The designed couplers are fabricated by 3D printing and are characterized by terahertz frequency-domain spectroscopy. The experimental result demonstrates the feasibility of the THz-TIRH imaging method. A Fe/Pt bilayer was deposited on glass substrate such that a 100 mm diameter circular space was covered with 4 nm Pt throughout and with a gradient of 0.5 nm to 7 nm thick Fe by magnetron sputtering. The resonance frequency switched to 0.5 THz and 1.08 THz as the flexible substrate of the resonator was flattened and bent. We analyzed the electrical properties in the I- V curve and optical properties in THz transmission spectra for the cases on flattening/bending/re-flattening after bending the resonator. We present results on L-carnosine and tetrameric enzymatic-peptides.
