The obtained permittivity value was applied to designing of low aberration large aperture aspheric dielectric lens and dielectric waveguide rod antenna. These components composed the antenna system for the passive radiometric imaging in 90-100 GHz frequency range. This antenna system was experimentally demonstrated to successfully detect and recognize the metallic weapon hidden under outer clothing.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"8 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87286079","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fabry-Perot open resonator is formed by axially symmetric mirrors with coupling elements in the form of holes. Connected to the resonator polarization diplexers with more than 40 dB isolation between channels of orthogonal polarization signals allow to detect the lifting of the degeneracy at weak violations of axial symmetry. It is shown that anisotropic thin dielectric film located in the plane of the caustic waist of the resonance mode, lifts the degeneracy of orthogonally polarized modes. The proposed method is promising for measurement of the weak permittivity anisotropy of thin films and sheets.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"22 1","pages":"1-3"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86333599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These microwave properties are uniquely controlled through the spatial distribution of super-fluid density in the superconductor. The technique of low-temperature Laser Scanning Microscopy (LSM) is applied to investigate local contribution of these effects onto global rf response of superconducting meta-materials having different geometry of artificially structured magnetic meta-atoms. The main capabilities of the LSM technique for noncontact spatially resolved characterization of such structures are reviewed.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"71 23","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91467525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Duffing oscillator and the Van der Pol oscillator both with modulated natural frequency and a high-frequency harmonic forcing are considered as examples to illustrate and study this phenomenon. It is shown that such interaction enables an efficient control of the oscillators dynamics and their properties.
