Currently there are various proposed techniques to solve this problem. However, most of these proposals can only protect a region of interest within digital image, making feasible even with these methods, the alteration of certain regions that are not protected. Therefore, this paper proposes a digital image watermarking algorithm, which consists of two stages; the first one is to protect the digital image that is performed by Daubechies DWT, halftoning and QIM methods; the second one is used for authentication, detection and self-recovery of tampered regions, through IDWT, inverse halftoning and median filtering. Experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, obtaining average PSNR values of 35 dB in the self-recovery image, even if the watermarked image was subjected to a JPEG compression using a quality factor QF=75.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"35 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72800025","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The slot offsets, slot lengths and widths, port position of the antenna are optimized by using Trust Region Framework and Classic Powel algorithms in simulation environment without requiring analytical calculations. The side lobes of radiation pattern are suppressed by using these optimizations. The antennas are simulated with different slot's numbers (11 and 21 slotted antennas). Although using more slots provides narrower beam, back lobe of the radiation pattern rises crucial levels. A parabolic structure is designed to avoid from back lobes and a small gain increment can be obtained with this modification. The modified 21-slotted WSA antenna presents 20.8 dB maximum realized gain, 4.50 degree 3 dB angular width, 90 degree main lobe direction, and 24.9 dB side lobe level in simulation results at 9.5 GHz. The antenna is also fabricated and measured. A good agreement is obtained between simulation and measurement.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"25 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82315315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model is presented in the form of an oscillator situated under influence of the proper reflected radiation from a radar object and inherent oscillator noises. Options of frequency modulation in the supply circuit and by means of capacity variation of the varicap embedded into the oscillator are considered. The main expressions for calculations of appropriate spurious amplitude modulation, components of the useful signal and noise are obtained for autodyne response registration both in the power supply circuit and on variation of oscillation amplitude. The results' analysis is performed in conformity with the autodyne oscillator on Gunn diode of 8mm-range.","PeriodicalId":6504,"journal":{"name":"2016 9th International Kharkiv Symposium on Physics and Engineering of Microwaves, Millimeter and Submillimeter Waves (MSMW)","volume":"27 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86540976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the authentication with one layer of protection is obsolete. This fact causes that new threatens have appeared and that the number of attempts to break different systems has increased. In this paper, we propose a multifactor authentication system. During the authentication process, several validation factors may be needed to verify the user's identity. The goal is to perform an integrated application by layers such as biometrics and radio frequency identification (RFID).
