Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of application of strip gratings on dielectric substrates as output couplers for submillimeter lasers. The coupler transmittance characteristics was calculated by FDTD method and compared with experimental results. The influence of the dielectric substrate on the coupler transmittance was investigated.
