To harness this green energy the rugged induction generator has come up as a viable option. However, induction generator has change in reactive power requirement with change in load. This dynamic reactive power requirement is proposed to be met by a DSTATCOM and thereby achieve voltage regulation, load balancing and harmonic elimination. Further these small generators can provide full benefit to rural customers if they are connected on a grid. An autonomous rural grid with induction generators in parallel is proposed for reliable supply of power and to harness the benefits of the grid. Though usual opportunistic coordination adds reliability to TBF, it also increases delay and coordination complexity. Alternatively, this work proposes the use of multiple cooperative relays within every single hop of a trajectory so that two adjacent forwarders do not communicate directly. While minimizing energy consumption further, this novel arrangement ensures an upper bound on delay, which is essential for delay-sensitive mission-critical WSNs. The non-linear model of an SMIB system has been linearized using Feedback linearization technique. A novel approach of design of deadbeat control, known as Signal Correction Technique (SCT) is employed to generate an additional control signal from the dynamics of the system which is incorporated to the original non-linear system through an additional feedback loop. The additional corrected signal modifies the transient oscillations of the output of the test system to a deadbeat output. The performance of the test system with SCT based deadbeat control has been compared with the performance with nonlinear STATCOM controller. Frequency dependent suitable weight functions for sensitivity and complementary sensitivity transfer functionare chosen to design the controller. Synthesis of H-infinity controller is performedusing Robust Control Toolbox in MATLAB. The input output data samplesfor a laboratory based DC servomotor system are takenover a finite duration of time. The SystemIdentification Toolbox in MATLAB has been employed to obtain the plant model from the input output dataset. Fitness of the model is investigated by applying different dataset in order to achieve the best fit model. Dynamic systems modelling with delta operator provides a unified framework in rapprochement between discrete-time dynamic models and its continuous counterpart at fast sampling. This property is utilised to design different classical control schemes such as PI, PD and PID in delta domain for EMLS. Generally, the behaviour of the EMLS is nonlinear and it is unstable in nature. Due to the above properties it is first linearised. The controllers are designed in delta domain such that both the physical systems of EMLS (voltage and current controlled systems) become robust subject to all parameter variations and uncertainties. In this work, mathematical morphology has been employed for contrast enhancement of the brain T2-wighted MRI, followed by segmentation with the help of Fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering algorithm. It is well known that stress cone is used in cable joints and terminations to relief electric stresses at the junction point of insulation and conductor screen. The high electric stress near the screen-cut zone may lead to tracking, partial discharge etc. which eventually jeopardize the operation of a power cable affecting its long-term performance. Moreover, a power cable during its period of operation is subjected to different transient electric stresses in the form of standard and non-standard lightning impulse voltages. Therefore, in this contribution, a comprehensive study of transient electric stresses of a medium voltage cable termination is performed by applying different standard and non standard lightning impulse voltages. For this purpose, a 11kV cable termination is modeled in Comsol Multiphysics Software. The transient electric field analysis is performed using Finite Element method. The scheme focuses on the Graph Based Visual Saliency (GBVS) technique. Biometric watermarking has been introduced for validity and ultimate security of a digital media. Biometric information which is basically fingerprint is being hidden in a cover image in an efficient way such that the quality of the original information is not corrupted. The result of imperceptibility is promising; moreover several attacks were made to prove the robustness of this technique. Spectral characterization of mustard, olive, rice bran, sunflower and soybean oils are recorded by a portable near infrared (NIR) spectrometer in the range of 250–925 nm of wavelength. Due to high dimensionality problem, principal component analysis (PCA) is used here for extracting only the significant features from the near infrared spectra. Hidden clusters in the dataset are identified by applying the principal component analysis (PCA). For classification purpose multilayer perceptron (MLP) and support vector machine (SVM) are used in this work. Moreover, classifier fusion strategy using Dempster Shafer Evidence Theory is implemented to increase the prediction accuracy.
