A peak current controlled boost converter is simulated in continuous conduction mode (CCM) to study the dynamics through the bifurcation diagrams. The study shows that with changes of certain parameters the bifurcation and chaotic state may occur. The bifurcation diagrams indicate the stable zone of various parameters of the circuit which is desired to be selected. The bifurcation map is obtained by varying input voltage and reference current as variable. This paper is designed to help technology enthusiasts navigate the dialogue surrounding the same, be well versed in IoT and understand its potential to change everything we know to be true today. In this new era of technology, Internet of Things (IoT) has the true potential to make computing ubiquitous — a concept introduced by Mark Weiser in early 1990s. Machine to machine, computer to objects, environment to computers, intelligent systems — “The internet of everything”, is where the potential seems to be endless. IoT can be seen as a universal global neural network of connected things in the cloud where smart machines interact and communicate with other machines, objects, infrastructure and the environment. As a result of which, exponential amount of data is generated and processed into actions that has the ability to command and control things making our everyday life much easier. It utilizes particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm for the feedback speed control facilitating with variable speed drives (VSD) based on current status of airflow and air pressure in underground coal mines. It also utilizes the overlapping hour format to control energy use. It has been developed using Arduino Uno board based on 8-bit AVR core microcontroller and having 16 MHz clock frequency. The basic idea of the proposed work is to extract the periodic PPG signal contaminated by non-periodic noise and atrifact. The algorithm is based on short term autocorrelation technique over the time shifted PPG signal. The algorithm and the developed system is validated against the heart rates derived from the signals acquired in BIOPAC MP150 data acquisition system. Governor dead-band non-linearity has been considered in a two area deregulated power system while designing the P-I controller. Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) has been used for optimizing the gains of P-I controller and the dynamics responses are compared with and without considering optimized values of the controller gains. Efficacy of STFPID is justified against the performance of a conventional PID and fuzzy PID controller (FPID). Inverted pendulum is a typical example of a nonlinear system and its free hanging mode is a well accepted form to realize a usual crane operation. Here, STFPID is designed with a continuous variation of its output scaling factor depending on the latest process status. Simulation study along with real time experimentation justifies the superiority of STFPID in comparison with conventional PID and FPID. It has also certain health benefits which makes green tea very popular among mankind. This study reports the use of stainless steel electrode for the detection of catechin. The sensory evaluation of the electrode was compared with that of carbon paste and platinum electrode by means of cyclic voltammetry. The electrode also showed good linearity over the concentration range 1 to 10μM having R2 value of 0.99. In order to calibrate the regression model on NIR tea spectra partial least squares (PLS) algorithm was used. The number of PLS factors and the choice of preprocessing methods were optimized simultaneously by leave-one-sample out cross-validation during the model calibration. The efficacy of the model developed was evaluated by the root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP), root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) and correlation coefficient (R). The correlation coefficients (R) in the prediction set is 0.95. RTDS was built using Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL), composing it versatile and compact. The proposed design method was carried out in VHDL, based on MATLAB/Simulink model and also validates the utility of simulating a drive of typical complexity in real-time. The proposed model is executed at fixed time-step and fixed step solver of 10 μs and constant switching frequency is 5 KHz. The proposed design employs much advancement to execute the functional blocks in DTC and regenerative braking that reduce the execution time. The proposed DTC drive technique is capable to change the wide range of motor speed from base speed to zero speed with full load torque. Zero injection bus constraint modeling is considered to minimize the number of PMUs in the system. To find the dynamic behavior of power system in presence of load changes, a dynamic state estimation method integrating PMU and conventional measurements is proposed. The proposed dynamic state estimation method with optimal PMU allocations is compared with traditional Weighted Least Squares (WLS) state estimation method in presence of load changes.
