It is easy for the examiner to miss the examination due to fatigue after long time working which resulted in many amendments by the applicant. Hierarchical clustering was used to cluster and analyze performance appraisal characteristics of 75 clinic departments. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000SCI papers (405), National projects (181) and National core journal papers (106) took 75.2% of total average score. The optimal solution of the cluster was 6 types for 75 departments and the dendrogram illustrated significant varieties among the 6 types. Six departments’ types were academic-conference-oriented, national-paper-oriented, SCI-paper-oriented, advanced-project-oriented, provincial/ horizontal-project-oriented and attending-conference-oriented. The percentages of the oriented indicators that took their total average scores were 59.4%, 42.0%, 66.7%, 57.0%, 61.8%, 52.3%. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Conclusions \u0000Compared with K-means method, the results of hierarchical clustering equipped with better characteristics and interpretative power. Research performance appraisal has been further optimized. {"title":"Analysis of zero cited papers on nursing management published in 12 core nursing periodicals","authors":"Jin-lian Cheng, Qian Zhang, Yin-ping Chu","doi":"10.3760/CMA.J.ISSN.1006-1924.2019.04.013","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3760/CMA.J.ISSN.1006-1924.2019.04.013","url":null,"abstract":"Objective \u0000The statistics of nursing management zero-cited papers published in 12 nursing core journals were analyzed, and the reasons were analyzed to provide reference for further improvement of the academic quality of nursing management class papers and reducing zero cited rate. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Methods \u0000The nursing management zero-cited papers published in 12 nursing core journals from 2015 to 2017 were searched in Wanfang Database, and the amount of documents issued, funded status, number of authors, academic qualifications and titles, and themes were analyzed. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000There were 2 492 articles of zero cited papers of nursing management during 2015-2017, accounted for 46.65% of the total number of nursing management thesis, among which there were 1 172 papers of zero cited papers and 1 320 papers of non-funds, which showed an increasing trend year by year. The lowest cited rate was 33.67% in the Chinese Journal of Nursing.The zero cited fund of nursing management was the most subsidized by provincial (municipality) level, accounted for 42.83%.The zero cited rates of qualitative research, survey research and application statistical description were the highest, which were 51.44%, 50.87% and 47.03%. More than 70% of the zero cited papers are divided into 4 aspects: nursing human resource management, nursing quality management, nursing management mode and management psychology research. Nursing human resource management was more concerned with the training of nurses, core competencies, job management, job stress, and job satisfaction. The self-designed questionnaires were used to survey 420 personals in 21 tertiary hospitals in Shanghai, and 411 valid questionnaires were responded with a valid rate of 97.86%. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Results \u0000The cognition of science and technology achievement transformation policies of the respondents was low, and the degree of cognition was related to the professional titles (P<0.05).
