Prevalence did not differ significantly between sexes in either year(χ~2=0.34, P=0.56; χ~2=0.64, P=0.42). No statistically significant difference was found in urban hypertension prevalence in 2012 and 2015(χ~2=1.96, P=0.16), whereas rural hypertension prevalence in 2015 was significantly higher than in 2012(χ~2=12.39, P&lt;0.01). No statistically significant differences were observed in the 18-44 years and ≥65 years age groups in 2012 and 2015(χ~2=1.61, P=0.20; χ~2=2.31, P=0.13), while the prevalence in the 45-64 years age group was significantly higher in 2015 than in 2012(χ~2=7.03, P&lt;0.01). No statistically significant differences were found in 2012 and 2015 for either overweight/obese or normal weight populations(χ~2=0.68, P=0.41; χ~2=0.07, P=0.78).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>In 2012 and 2015, the prevalence of hypertension showed a significantly increasing trend among rural residents and the 45-64 years age group in Xinjiang. Furthermore, the LMS method(L for skewness, M for mean, S for coefficient of variation) is adopted to fit the BMI distribution curves and the 5th, 50th, and 95th percentile curves across different years, so as to analyze the changing trends of BMI in adults in Xinjiang.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The BMI of adult males and females in Xinjiang showed an increasing trend, with the average BMI increasing from 22.1 and 22.2 kg/m~2 in 1982 to 25.2 and 25.3 kg/m~2 in 2015, respectively. The BMI growth varied across different decades, with a relatively large change from the 1980s to 2000, and a gradual slowdown after 2010. HCT116 cells were treated with different concentrations of OXA(0, 0.8, 1.6, 3.125, 6.25, 12.5, 25 and 50 μmol/L), and LOVO cells were treated with OXA(0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6, 3.125 and 6.25 μmol/L). Cell viability was assessed using the Methylene Blue(MB) assay. HCT116 cells were treated with 20 μg/mL BA and 0.15 μmol/L OXA alone or in combination, while LOVO cells were treated with 50 μg/mL BA and 0.10 μmol/L OXA alone or in combination. Cell viability was measured by the MB or CCK-8 assay, and colony formation was examined. Cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry. Western blot was performed to detect the expression of cell cycle-related proteins(Cyclin D1, Cyclin B1, CDK4), proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA), and glycogen synthase kinase-3β(GSK-3β). After pretreatment with 50 μmol/L lithium chloride(LiCl) for 6 hours, HCT116 cell viability was assessed by CCK-8 assay, and GSK-3β protein expression was measured by Western blot. A xenograft tumor model was established by subcutaneously injecting 0.2 mL of a cell suspension containing 2.0×10~6 HCT116 cells into the right shoulder of 4-week-old female BALB/c nude mice. The mice were divided into four groups(n=5 per group): control group, BA group, OXA group, and BA+OXA combination group. Starting from the second day after HCT116 cell inoculation, the mice were intraperitoneally injected with the test substances every other day. The control group received 10% dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO). BA was dissolved in physiological saline containing 10% DMSO and administered at a dose of 60 mg/kg. OXA was dissolved in physiological saline and administered at a dose of 2.0 mg/kg. The combination group received both 60 mg/kg BA and 2.0 mg/kg OXA. Administration continued for 35 days. Body weight was measured every other day between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. Starting from day 13 after HCT116 cell inoculation, tumor diameter was measured every other day using a caliper. PCNA protein expression in the xenograft tumors was detected by immunohistochemistry. The basic morphological structure, pathological features, and drug-induced histological changes of the xenograft tumors were examined by hematoxylin and eosin(HE) staining. The expression of GSK-3β protein and cell cycle-related proteins was detected by Western blot.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Results: &lt;/strong&gt;Both BA and OXA inhibited the viability of HCT116 and LOVO cells in a dose-and time-dependent manner(P&lt;0.01). The 72-hour median effect concentration(EC_(50)) for BA and OXA in HCT116 cells was(194.23±60.96) μg/mL and(1.54±0.64) μmol/L, respectively. The target compounds were separated on ZORBAX RRHD Eclipse Plus C18 column(3.0 mm×150 mm, 1.8 μm) by gradient elution using 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution and methanol as mobile phase. The detection was performed with electrospray ionization(ESI) in positive mode under multiple reaction monitoring(MRM) mode, and quantified by internal standard method.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Six target compounds of cadaverine, putrescine, histamine, tyramine, tryptamine and phenethylamine were well reserved on the chromatographic column, and the linear range was 10-2000 μg/L(R~2&gt;0.999). The limit of detection and limit of quantitation were 5 μg/kg and 10 μg/kg, respectively. The recovery rates of the six compounds ranged from 71.6% to 105.2%, and the relative standard deviations were 0.73% to 12.64%(n=6). A total of 103 livestock, poultry and aquatic prefabricated food were tested for the target compounds. Children aged 6-17 years in Xinjiang with complete demographic and physical examination records were included. Fasting venous blood was collected on-site and measured using the Hemocue method. After data cleaning, mean hemoglobin concentrations and the prevalence of anemia were calculated according to \"Method for anemia screen\". Differences between groups were examined with Kruskal-Wallis tests and χ~2 tests.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total of 1 414 children(691 boys and 723 girls) were analyzed. Among them, 1 051 lived in urban areas and 363 in rural areas; 714 were 6-11 years old and 700 were 12-17 years old. The overall mean hemoglobin level was(136.34±12.66)g/L. No significant sex difference was observed in the 6-11-year group(P&gt;0.05), whereas boys aged 12-17 years had significantly higher hemoglobin levels than girls(P&lt;0.05). The overall anemia prevalence was 4.95%. Anemia was more common in girls(7.33%) than in boys(2.46%)(χ~2=17.81, P&lt;0.01), in rural(6.89%) than in urban areas(4.28%)(χ~2=3.89, P&lt;0.05), and in the 12-17-year group(7.43%) than in the 6-11-year group(2.52%)(χ~2=18.09, P&lt;0.01). The highest prevalence(12.01%) was found among girls aged 12-17 years. Among children with anemia aged 6-17 years, mild and moderate anemia accounted for the majority, with mild anemia comprising 55.7% and moderate anemia 40.0%, while severe anemia accounted for only 4.3%.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The anemia prevalence among children aged 6-17 years in Xinjiang was 4.95% in 2017, mainly mild to moderate. The 1982 dietary survey used the bookkeeping method and the food weighing method, and the 1992-2015 dietary survey used the 24-hour dietary review method for three consecutive days and the weighing method to collect food and condiment intake information from the survey respondents. Information on food and condiment intake was collected from the 1992-2015 Dietary Survey using the 24-hour dietary recall method and weighing method on consecutive days.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The average daily intake of grains and cereals, coarse grains and miscellaneous beans, fresh fruits, milk and cooking salt among adult residents of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 1982-2015 showed a decreasing trend(P_(trend)&lt;0.01), with the larger decreases being in grains and cereals and cooking salt; the average daily intake of tubers, fresh vegetables, soybeans, livestock and poultry meats, fish and shrimp, eggs and cooking oil showed an increasing(P_(trend)&lt;0.01), with a greater increase in livestock and poultry meat, tubers, soybeans, eggs and cooking oil; the changes in coarse grains and beans, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, fish and shrimp, and milk were not significant. Among urban adult residents, the average daily intake of grains and cereals and fresh vegetables has decreased significantly, while that of livestock and poultry meat, tubers, soybeans and eggs has increased significantly. Among rural adult residents, the average daily intake of coarse grains and beans and milk has decreased significantly, while that of livestock and poultry meat, tubers, cooking oil and eggs has increased significantly. The average daily intake of milk in male population showed a downward trend and the decrease was more significant(P_(trend)&lt;0.05), and the trend of other food changes was consistent with the total population. {"title":"[Construction of an osteoblast injury model and study on the protective effects of biosynthetic vitamin D_3].","authors":"Ni Zhang, Di Chen, Yanbin Tang, Junsheng Huo, Jian Huang, Lijuan Wang","doi":"10.19813/j.cnki.weishengyanjiu.2026.02.017","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19813/j.cnki.weishengyanjiu.2026.02.017","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To construct a D-galactose(D-Gal)-induced osteoblast injury model mimicking senile osteoporosis and investigate the protective effect of biosynthetic vitamin D_3.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Using Human osteoblast cell line hFOB1.19, cell viability was detected by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8), and apoptosis was assessed by Calcein AM/propidium iodide(PI) double staining. The optimal concentration and duration of D-Gal for modeling were determined. Cells were divided into control, D-Gal model, and intervention groups treated with D-Gal plus biosynthetic vitamin D_3 at concentrations of 10~(-10), 10~(-9), 10~(-8), 10~(-7) and 10~(-6) mol/L. Multiple assays were performed: CCK-8 for viability, colorimetry for alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity, ELISA for osteocalcin(OC) content, β-galactosidase staining for cellular senescence, and DCFH-DA fluorescent probe for reactive oxygen species(ROS) levels. Statistical analysis was conducted using one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett&apos;s test.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A stable osteoblast injury model was successfully established using 60 mg/mL D-Gal treatment for 24 hours. Compared with the control group, the model group exhibited significantly reduced cell viability((51.11±7.36)% vs. (108.90±16.01)%, P&lt;0.01), ALP activity((14.63±0.80)μmol/L vs. (394.40±1.39) μmol/L, P&lt;0.01), and OC content((837.40±4.34) pg/mL vs. (2642.00±58.92) pg/mL, P&lt;0.01), along with increased ROS levels and the proportion of senescent cells. After intervention with biosynthetic vitamin D_3, the 10~(-8) mol/L and 10~(-7) mol/L groups showed significant improvement. The 10~(-7) mol/L group demonstrated the most pronounced effects, markedly enhancing cell viability((75.71±9.04)% vs. (51.11±7.36)%, P&lt;0.05) and ALP activity((253.60±4.16) μmol/L vs. (14.63±0.80) μmol/L, P&lt;0.01), while also reducing ROS levels and the proportion of senescent cells.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>A stable in vitro model of senile osteoporosis-related osteoblast injury was successfully constructed. [Awareness of secondhand smoke hazards and its influencing factors among Chinese adults in 2018]. [2018年我国成年人二手烟危害认知及影响因素调查]。

Awareness rates and 95%CI were estimated using complex sampling weights. Factors associated with awareness of SHS hazards were analyzed using weighted multivariable logistic regression.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>In 2018, the proportions of Chinese adults aged ≥18 years who were aware that exposure to secondhand smoke could cause adult lung cancer, childhood lung diseases, and adult heart disease were 69.81%, 66.83%, and 52.88%, respectively. The awareness rate that secondhand smoke can cause at least one disease was 72.61%. Univariate analyses showed that awareness of secondhand smoke-related health hazards differed significantly across subgroups defined by age, marital status, household annual income, urban-rural residence, geographic region, educational attainment, and smoking status(P&lt;0.001). Multivariable logistic regression showed that age ≥65 years(OR =0.41, 95%CI 0.37-0.44), being unmarried(OR=0.76, 95%CI 0.70-0.83), low income(OR=0.66, 95%CI 0.62-0.71), rural residence(OR=0.68, 95%CI 0.65-0.71), residence in western regions(OR=0.64, 95%CI 0.61-0.67), low educational attainment(OR=0.09, 95%CI 0.08-0.11), and current smoking(OR=0.85, 95%CI 0.81-0.89) were independently associated with a lower awareness that secondhand smoke causes at least one disease(P&lt;0.01). Awareness levels varied substantially across provinces, with higher awareness observed in Beijing and Shanghai(≥80% for adult lung cancer and childhood respiratory diseases, and ≥70% for heart disease), whereas awareness remained low in provinces such as Guizhou and Tibet, particularly for heart disease(&lt;50%).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>In 2018, awareness of the health hazards of secondhand smoke among Chinese adults aged ≥18 years remained relatively low, particularly regarding adult heart disease. A total of 11 162 urban residents aged 18 to 60 years old in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government were included to analyze the frequency of eating breakfast on weekdays and rest days, and to analyze the factors related to survey respondents&apos; daily breakfast eating on weekdays and rest days using a multifactorial logistic regression model.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>On the 5 weekdays, the number of respondents who never ate breakfast, ate breakfast 1-2 days a week, ate breakfast 3-4 days a week, and ate breakfast every day were 227(2.0%), 428(3.8%), 1418(12.7%), and 9089(81.4%), respectively; and on the 2 rest days, the number of respondents who never ate breakfast, ate breakfast 1 day a week, and ate breakfast every day were 1278(11.4%), 2063(18.5%), and 7821(70.1%), respectively. The result of multifactorial logistic regression model analysis showed that on both weekdays and rest days, 30-39 years old(OR_(weekday)=1.60, 95% CI 1.37-1.88; OR_(rest day)=2.38, 95% CI 2.08-2.74), 40-49 years old(OR_(weekday) =3.06, 95% CI 2.56-3.67; OR_(rest day) =3.82, 95% CI 3.28-4.46), 50-60 years old(OR_(weekday)=5.62, 95%CI 4.48-7.05; OR_(rest day) =5.51, 95%CI 4.61-6.58), married(OR_(weekday) =1.29, 95%CI 1.11-1.49; OR_(rest day) =1.56, 95%CI 1.37-1.78), and with a per capita household income of ≥70 000 yuan per year(OR_(weekday) =1.46, the 95%CI 1.27-1.67; OR_(rest day) =1.37, 95%CI 1.22-1.54) survey respondents were more likely to eat breakfast every day(P&lt;0.05).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>In 2021, the behavior of daily breakfast consumption among Chinese urban adult residents aged 18-60 still needed improvement. The behavior of eating breakfast every day was influenced by factors including age, marital status, average annual household income per capita, city type, and BMI. {"title":"[Wheat bran reduces oxidative stress and promotes glucagon-like peptide-1 secretion in high-fat-fed rats].","authors":"Aisikaier Rukeye, Ting Shang, Kuerbanjiang Maierheba, Yujie Zhao, Muhetati Dina, Wenzhuo Yu, Mengfan Liu, Jia Han","doi":"10.19813/j.cnki.weishengyanjiu.2026.02.016","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.19813/j.cnki.weishengyanjiu.2026.02.016","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>This study aimed to investigate the effects of wheat bran intervention on oxidative stress status and glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1) secretion in rats fed a high-fat diet(HFD).</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Thirty-two specific pathogen-free(SPF) Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were acclimatized for 1 week and then randomly assigned to 4 groups(n=8 per group) by body weight: normal control group(NC, fed a standard chow), high-fat diet group(HF, fed a high-fat diet), low-dose wheat bran intervention group(HF+LWB, HFD supplemented with 10% dietary fiber from wheat bran), and high-dose wheat bran intervention group(HF+HWB, HFD supplemented with 15% dietary fiber from wheat bran). The intervention lasted for 12 weeks. At the end of the intervention, animals were euthanized, and blood samples were collected. Outcome measurements included: fasting blood glucose(FBG), fasting insulin(FINS); oxidative stress-related indices(superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px), malondialdehyde(MDA)) in serum and tissues(liver, colon); GLP-1 levels in serum and colon tissue; and histopathological changes of liver and colon tissues via hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Compared with the NC group, the HF group exhibited significant increases in body weight, Lee&apos;s index, and liver weight(P&lt;0.05), elevated serum FBG and FINS levels(P&lt;0.05), decreased activities of SOD and GSH-Px in serum and tissues, increased MDA content(P&lt;0.05), and reduced serum GLP-1 levels(P&lt;0.05). Following wheat bran intervention, both wheat bran groups showed marked reductions in body weight and liver weight(P&lt;0.05), enhanced SOD and GSH-Px activities, decreased MDA content(P&lt;0.05), and increased GLP-1 secretion-with the high-dose group demonstrating more pronounced effects.
