Such problems made researchers interested in conducting further research. The purpose of this study to determined the cause of students experiencing difficulties in the learning process of mathematics with a scientific approach. This research was a quantitative and qualitative research. Data obtained by observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The research instrument used was a questionnaire teachers and students, learning and activity observation sheet of students in the classroom, as well as interview guides teachers and students. The results showed that the form of learning difficulties for class VIII students that appeared in mathematics learning on flat sided space material with a scientific approach were students having difficulty understanding and solving flat sided space problems, difficulty in asking flat sided shape problems, difficulty in trying to solve problems. in the form of reasoning and difficulties in concluding the material that has been studied. The study design used was: Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study was all of class VII at SMP Negeri 6 Tondano. In contrast, the samples in this study were class VII B, with 21 students as the experimental class and class VII A as the control class with 21 students. This study's analysis showed that the experimental class's average posttest score was 84,76, while the average posttest score for the control class was 74,28. The study results were analyzed using the T-test statistic at s significant level of 0,05, namely Tcount = 3,636 > Ttable = 1,725, so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It became an interesting one to explore more profound about the use of metaphors. This study explored more the metaphors in the conversation among characters in William Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. The researcher applied a qualitative descriptive method with the theory of the Metaphor, according to Parera (2004), as a detailed explanation. The study results found that the most frequently occurring types were Animal Metaphors (35%), and Anthropomorphic Metaphors as the rarest one (15%). Animal Metaphor uses animal parts to mock people in this story. Anthropomorphic metaphors are parts of the human body that are transferred to various inanimate objects used to praise in this story. This type of research in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data study techniques in this research consisted of observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed, so as to improve teacher discipline in attendance, the principal also provides a good role model for teachers by attending school on time, then optimizing the discipline rules for attendance. In addition, the Principal also seeks to collaborate with teachers by appointing teachers who declare them competent to supervise. The school principal also coordinates with the staff, which consists of 2 officers every day, namely from teachers who do not have teaching hours on that day and one person from the administration. The picket officer will circulate the class teacher attendance list that has been made so that they can see the teacher attendance level in each class. The instrument in this study was an analysis table of documentation data. The data analysis technique collects data from public comments on Erick Thorhir's posts, analyzes and describes the data using theories obtained from studying books and other scientific works, analyzes politeness, explains politeness analysis according to the rules of maxims and draws conclusions. This type of research is ex post facto correlational. The population of this study is all grade IV students of SD Cluster 4 State District for the 2022/2023 School Year, which amounts to 242 students. The study sample totaled 148 students. The sample determination technique used is a proportional random sampling technique. The data collected are quantitative data with interval scales, namely authoritative parenting and social behavior, data collection methods using non-test methods. Data on authoritative parenting and social behavior were obtained through questionnaires/ questionnaires. The statistical analysis used in the study is product moment correlation analysis. Oleh sebab itu masalah konflik antar umat beragam perlu dicari solusi, salah satunya peranan marga dalam meredam konflik antar umat beragama. Fokus permasalahan yang ingin penulis sampaikan dalam penelitian ini ialah “marga” yang mengikat setiap masyarakat suku batak baik yang beragama muslim maupun Kristen yang menjadi perekat kerukunan umat beragama di kota Tanjung balai. \u0000 Adapun metodologi dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan bersifat analisis deskriptif yang membuktikan kebenaran yang sesuai kenyataan yang terjadi dilapangan, dan penulis teknik wawancara dan analisa kajian pustaka. \u0000Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Tanjung balai masih menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai adat dalam hal ini marga yang menjadi pedoman dalam kerukunan antar umat beragama.
