Therefore, the purpose of this study is to: (1) describe the application of the maxim of wisdom in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (2) describes the application of the maxim of generosity in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (3) describes the application of praise maxims in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (4) describes the application of the maxim of humility in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (5) describes the application of the maxim of agreement in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, (6) describes the application of sympathy maxims in the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters, and (7) describe the implications of the research results on the application of the principle of language politeness to Indonesian learning in junior high schools.
 The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach and data taken from the dialogue of Layangan Putus film characters. Data collection uses listening methods and note-taking techniques. Data analysis uses data reduction, data feed, and conclusion drawing.

 The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this study was secondary data from video shows of Maanyan Dayak traditional wedding documentation. The instrument in this study is a documentation guide. Documentation guidelines are carried out by analyzing symbolic forms. The data analysis technique used in this study uses the semiotic study of Roland Barthes' theory of two-stage signification (Two orders of signification).
 The results of the research on the Ngamuan Gunung Perak procession that have been studied are sixteen symbolic forms of the existing denotative and connotative meanings. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The data used in this study are quotes that are included in the 3 aspects of personality in Boy Candra's novel Trauma. The results of this study indicate that (1) Id in the main character, Kimara, originates from the instinct of curiosity about what actually happened. (2) The ego in the kimara character always realizes the demands of the id. The ego in the Kimara character always acts as a conveyer of reality, that is, when the instinct of curiosity exists, the ego will always act. (3) Kimara's superego is based on moral values.  This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the question and answer method. The population of this research is SDN 8 Menteng Palangka Raya. The sample of the research is 33 students of Class IV A of SDN 8 Menteng Palangka Raya.
 The results of this research are improving writing descriptions can be seen from the average score of students during the pretest, namely 65.60. The results of the first cycle of post test writing descriptions get an average of 71.65. while the results of the post test cycle II writing a description get an average of 80.17. increase in the average value of cycles I and II of 8.52. The main problem under study is to reveal the form and function of deixis in detail in pragmatic studies. The researcher also aims that the results of deixis analysis in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata can be implicated in learning novels in high school.
 This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with the type of research used is content analysis techniques (content analysis). Research with content analysis method is used to obtain information from the data obtained. This method can be used to analyze all forms of communication, such as newspapers, books, films and so on. Thus, the approach and type of research in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. This study describes the sentences resulting from data analysis in the form of words or phrases in the novel Edensor by Andrea Hirata which have been analyzed in terms of the deixis elements of pragmatic studies.
 The results of this study found that there are many elements of deixis used in Edensor's novel. The tendency of the deixis elements contained in this novel is persona deixis because the author of the novel tends to bring up characterization elements and then followed by time deixis because it has back and forth flow and spatial deixis because it rarely raises the setting of the place and the least deixis element in this novel is the social deixis element. . Persona deixis in this novel has the form I, you, I, you, you, they, we, he, she, -nya,-mu,-ku,ku-. Then the deixis of time refers to the past, present, and future. Place deixis refers to a place that is far from the speaker, which is close to the speaker, and to which the speaker is going.
