Suppliers can choose a online sales mode and provide freshness-keeping service. Considering the product freshness level, platform commission, supplier's market share and cross-price coeffcient between two channels, we study three sales scenarios and obtain the optimal decision and profit of the two suppliers and the e-tailer. Then, we get some conclusions through theoretical and numerical analysis. The lower the commission rate charged by online platform, the less the e-tailer likes the marketplace mode. The best action of the suppliers is also related to this commission. The lower the commission rate, the more the suppliers tend to choose the marketplace mode. And their best action is different under different sales scenarios. If the two suppliers adopt different modes, the one who chooses the marketplace mode will have more advantage. We also get an interesting conclusion that when suppliers make the same choice, the commission does not affect their competition and decision-making.","PeriodicalId":54509,"journal":{"name":"Rairo-Operations Research","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2023-09-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88011430","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To overcome these challenges and adapt to shifting customer attitudes, retailers must embrace innovative strategies. These include implementing a home delivery service with rigorous sanitization measures, leveraging social media advertising to enhance consumer awareness, and utilizing preservation technology to uphold grocery items’ quality and freshness. In such a dynamic setting, it is only rational to acknowledge that the demand for products relies heavily upon the delivery firm's service performance and the awareness it generates. The present study explores these vital investments within the online grocery retail store, comparing them with models lacking such investments. By optimizing investments in preservation technology, service, and advertisement, the model seeks to maximize the retailer's overall profit. The findings unequivocally demonstrate that despite incurring additional costs, these investments wield financial dominance, boosting the total profit by an impressive 32%. The study concludes by presenting valuable insights derived from numerical and sensitivity analysis, offering invaluable guidance for the effective management of grocery items in the current post-pandemic era.","PeriodicalId":54509,"journal":{"name":"Rairo-Operations Research","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84449503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the Slack-Based Measure (SBM) model based on Shannon Entropy is adopted to measure financial efficiency in Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei. Secondly, a Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei inter-regional financial resource allocation scheme is proposed using the Generalized Equilibrium Efficient Frontier Data Envelopment Analysis (GEEFDEA) model. Finally, the external environmental factors influencing financial efficiency were explored using spatial and other econometric models. Efficiency measurement reveals that financial efficiency in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei is unevenly developed. The financial efficiency of Beijing, Tianjin, and Zhangjiakou is high and stable, whereas the financial efficiency of Tangshan, Langfang, and Shijiazhuang is high, but fluctuates significantly. In comparison, the financial efficiency of other cities is low. The factors and the adjustment amount to improve urban financial efficiency are obtained by studying the allocation of financial resources. And it is found that Tianjin and Tangshan have more financial resource surpluses than other cities. By exploring influencing factors, it is found that the financial development level, innovation level, and infrastructure construction level of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei significantly affect financial efficiency.","PeriodicalId":54509,"journal":{"name":"Rairo-Operations Research","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85981883","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Linearization and simplification method are widely used in analyzing system dynamics of supply chains because actual production models are highly complex and nonlinear systems. With the advanced system dynamics, it is possible directly to deal with nonlinear dynamical problems without linear approximate methods so that the decision makers can obtain more accurate results for systematic management strategies. This paper aims to propose nonlinear system theory to explore dynamical behavior and control synthesis of production-distribution system by utilizing Forrester’s model. A novel super twisting sliding mode control (SWT-SMC) algorithm has been presented based on adaptation law, ensuring management optimization against disruptions. The closed-loop system stability has been guaranteed by using Lyapunov theory. Extensive numerical simulations have been conducted to validate the efficacy and reliability of the adaptive super twisting sliding mode control (ASWT-SMC) algorithm. Four types of decision criteria have been employed to compare system performance between control strategies. With superb decision scheme powered by control algorithm, novel supply chain software can learn an ever-fluctuating production flow and anticipate the need for changes in real market.","PeriodicalId":54509,"journal":{"name":"Rairo-Operations Research","volume":"71 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90666489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the reward-penalty-mechanism (RPM) and customers’ environmental awareness (CEA), this study discusses the optimal recycling price, collection effort level of the ELVs, dismantling level of available parts and RPM intensity in a two-echelon supply chain consisting of a take back center (TBC), a dismantling center (DC) and the government. First, two models, Stackelberg and Collusion behaviour models, are constructed by using of game theory and the optimal decisions are obtained. Furthermore, optimal solutions are compared and some propositions are proposed. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated to study the effects of some parameters including CEA fluctuation, sale price of the scrapped parts and carbon emission savings. The results show that CEA fluctuation is always positive for collection efforts and recycling quantity. A higher CEA fluctuation alleviates the regulatory pressures and helps the government reduce regulation costs. A higher sale price of the scrapped parts helps the TBC achieve higher recycling scales. Carbon-emission-savings and CEA are key points in deciding the intensity and form of RPM. The optimal decisions are more sensitive to the change of parameters under the Collusion behaviour model. Based on the findings, the government should take measures to enhance the level of CEA and provide enterprises policy support to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ELV recycling. DCs should invest in dismantling technology and achieve breakthroughs. TBCs should take measures to appeal to more consumers to participate in ELV recycling. It is better for TBCs and DCs to cooperate to achieve an overall win-win situation.","PeriodicalId":54509,"journal":{"name":"Rairo-Operations Research","volume":"64 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2023-09-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86793227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
